    Motherhood

Taken in Dublin Zoo yesterday. Challenging shot as had to be taken through glass with strong sunlight coming in through the door behind me and sunlight coming in through the doorway to allow these magnificent apes to go outside. Thank god for Dehaze slide

    Irish Everglades

After a few weeks of storms and heavy rains the area where I normally take the dog for a walk in amongst the sand dunes was quite flooded in parts. It didn't stop the dog from having a good time but it reminded me of the everglades in Florida.

    The Snake

Macro shot of an unopened Lily with a waterdrop
  6. Another shot from my macro shoot with some fruit. I liked the mono as it kinda looks like outer space. Again experimenting with lighting from different angles using a softbox.

    Cloughlea in Mono

Even though this place is best represented in colour it does make for a nice mono landscape too sometimes. I am blessed to be living in a country with this kind of natural beauty available to me

    Cloughlea

The river liffey running through Cloughleagh, Co Wicklow, Ireland. A truly magical and beautiful place which we in Ireland are blessed with.

    Screw You

Playing around with Macro lens, natural light and reflections
  15. Wonderful fantasy type image. Can see this being used as the cover of a Video game. I really like the way you have chosen to shoot the model from behind so the viewer does not get to see her face. A brave decision and one that has paid off.

    glass pyramid 196

Very cool architectural shot. I may have been tempted to leave a fraction more space at the top of the image . I really like the processing and think this would look great in B&W too
  17. Sunrise as seen from Portmarnock beach here in Dublin, Ireland on 31st Dec. I got lucky that morning as previous days had not had this phenomenal sky

    Lonesome

I have always been fascinated by this lone tree growing on the top of the mountain in beautiful Glendalough.
  21. I discovered a tiny piece of dust was effecting the sensor so that even after taking my eye away the sensor still thought my eye was there so was not switching back to LCD view. Crisis averted :D
  22. I was wondering if anyone had come across an issue on the Nikon Z range of cameras (I have the Z6) where the automatic switching between EVF and LCD monitor stops working. I have the auto switching ON and when I switch on the camera I can see the scene via the monitor, then when I put my eye to the viewfinder it automatically switches to that but when I remove my eye from it it does NOT switch back to the monitor. This is happening for Live View, Playback and Menu - which renders the menu touchscreen useless. I upgraded the firmware to 2.0 on Thursday but I the issue predates this. I only have the camer less than 5 months and have been onto the shop where I purchased it and am waiting on a response. Anyone else come across this ?

    Purple Macro

Not something I have done much of in the past but I thought I give Macro Photography with focus shift a go. So I made up a light hack for macro photography which involves cutting out a section in the side of a pringle tube to fit my flash head into. This
