Thank you all for your support. I am reminded that photography is a work in progress.
Also, I have concluded that taking pictures is no different then my previous art projects, none of them were mainstream ideas (the kind that everyone loves) either.
I have looked into your portfolios and you all have some truly brilliant work, so I am honered that you took the time to boost my spirits! I will comment on your photos individually when I have more time.
Thanks again.
hugs,
Kellen

I have recieed soe "good" ratings here ands there but I can't get my average
even over a 4.5! Should I hang it up?
I would be interested to see others portfolios who have a simialr average,
maybe then I won't feel so bad!

Hello, I was interested to read your comments and I was left wondering where you would like us beginners to go? I have an art background but have only recently became "serious" with my photography. All of my work is digital, although it is not 100% digitally enhanced, some photos are just cropped and posted as is. This purely digital photography seems to rufle the feathers of the more conservative artists out there but always recived higher ratings than my nore subdued shots. My Average is 4.25 for Originality and Aesthetics and I am learning a lot from the critiques of the members, they are not all throw away digital camera weilding morons as you are suggesting.
If you think your work is too good for the sight, just leave, chances are, we won't miss you.

Hello PN,
I was wondering if the site counter counts your visits to your own webpage?
I was just curious because I visit mine twice daily (usually).
Curiously,

Webster's definition:
Main Entry: fine art
Function: noun
1 a : art (as painting, sculpture, or music) concerned primarily with the creation of beautiful objects 2 : an activity requiring a fine skill
I guess it's whatever YOU feel is beautiful, but not nude, not a child, a flower, an insect, or digitally altered ...I sometimes get confused about "Documentary". Anyone care to enlighten me?
