It's a very mesmerizing scene with a timeless quality. The treatment helps with that. Her hand not being treated as much as the rest of the picture, was, I guess, on purpose, and for me works as well (a sort of a counterweight) I do wonder if a normal shot, in B&W, with a lot of grain, and limited DOF, wouldn't have worked as well?

I hope that if they would compete one day in the Dakar rally, they remember that bringing along only a navigator is also an option...

In this case I think I would have prefered a bit more surroundings, to give the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere more promenence. Still, great shot.

This is a stunning shot. It could be me, but I find her mouth and chin to be 'softer' than the rest of her face. Did you do that on purpose?

Taken on a short tracking trip in northern Vietnam. The kids are part

of a minority. The girl is black hmong, I'm not sure if the other

kids are form the same minority as well.
