    Hi Milo G, a good guess, I've been there, and made some pictures, but this one is not taken there. Try again. It's not in Europe.

    The quality of the picture itself doesn't change by choosing a border, but it's perception does and ttereby could make a picture stand out more. Thanks for the reply on my post.

  1. First of all, great picture, no doubt about that. I do think that, if I have to make some remarks, it would be these:

    --her left arm is overexposed;

    --backgroud a bit too light for my taste;

    --difference between the colour of her face and the rest of her body.

    This could be the cover of a coffeetable book.

    Does a border make a picture? I don't agree. As for the colours, why this colour? I like it anyhow. Nice shot for an album cover, but maybe that's because of your signature.

  2. Looking at this picture I was turning my head as well. I conclude that I like it better if you rotate the picture 90 degrees clockwise. The eyes of the model look more natural that way. For the rest, great photo.

    A great example of a picture made when the person is totally unaware. That makes the best pictures in my opinion. I'm not saying that I am expecting the 'normal' shots to be boring, but, still. I do hope to see her eyes someday.

    Very cool. Why? I don't know. Because of it's asymmetry? Maybe. Because of the colours? Maybe. Because of the fact that I have no clue of what you have made a picute of? Maybe. Just cool.

    I hope this is not the state every facility in NY is in? You got out safely? I always like photos of old en deteriorated buildings and interiors. The chair could have been a bit more in the light, to draw the attention of the viewer to it, now you're mostly looking at the hole in the wall.

    The b&w version doesn't do it for me. your coler experiment I do like. There's a lot happening in the picture, the radial shape of the flower is nicely accentuated by the straight lining in the background. Maybe the coloring could be more extreme (especially the flower?)
