jice 0 Posted April 13, 2006 I always liked the pattern that the light through the blinds made at a certain time of day. It was suggested that I include a figure. Here's the result. Link to comment
jice 0 Posted April 13, 2006 I also wanted to mention that this scan is from a working print; the final prints don't fit on my flat bed scanner. The final is not too different, except that it's on fiber paper (as opposed to RC) and I fixed up the dodge on the left foot (it's a bit too noticable here). Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted April 13, 2006 Hello John, this is a very striking image, as are the others in that folder. Of the shots you have presented, this is the one I like the best. Here you have given your model more character and independence that in the other shots, where she seems more quiescent. Best wishes. Peter Link to comment
hugo verboven 0 Posted April 13, 2006 I like the way the model becomes one with the background. Shame the face of the model is obscured in shadows. Hugo Link to comment
koendb 0 Posted April 13, 2006 it is so strong black and white, almost too much rhythm, even more like a maze, but it definitely attracts the eye to this picture. Personally i think it is great you don't see her face, she is in a strange, unnatural pose, and making her look to the right creates an expectation , makes me think whether something or someone is to her right, but we don't see it. So that's nice, intriguing, and personally because of that little story , this picture stands out from the rest of the series, where i don't see more than a body covered in light rays. nice work,6/6. jice 0 Posted May 4, 2008 In response to the comment about the gaze. One thing that I like is that her site line almost follows the top edge of the pattern of light on the blinds. Link to comment
