I was heading home from work at sunset and had to stop and capture this sun set. It

The reason for the High ISO and the flash was so that I could pick up a little bit of the ambient light and not have to change the value of my Aperture. Also not have the flash wash out some of the shadows i was looking for and get the grainy contrasty feel of the photo. Also to have the feel of old B&W film.
