Known as Route 1 in California and The 101 farther north, this fabled
highway follows the Pacific coast from the sandy beaches of Southern
California to the rugged coastline of the Pacific Northwest. Along the
way, the PCH passes through quaint coastal towns, numerous national
parks and wildlife refuges, concluding around Olympic Peninsula in
upstate Washington.

The doors of this Spanish Moor style christian mission were carved by
the local Native Americans that were converted to Christianity. The
doors are unique because of the carved waves that to the Native
Americans represent the river of life.
