Please, please, please, tell me how you do this! I really like this technique but have been unable to find any tutorials on how to do it. I would really appreciate any help. :)

Beautiful image Lennart. The light, the comp, and the atmosphere. I feel as though the sun is distracting for me since the scene has a dark mysterious feel. Just my opinion...

Lady G is very beautiful Alberto. I like the composition and the pose as well as the choice for B&w but the the focus is off. Perhaps a little sharpening may help.

The expression is great and the overall composition is good as well. I don't care much for the sepia though. It needs to be a bit brighter and B&W would suit the image better in my opinion.

  1. This has potential to be a really good shot. I think the front grill needs a touch more light and perhaps a bit more foreground on the bottom left. Love the colours and the perspective.

Thanks Jan. I have seen others do this type of effect and I thought I would give it a try. I am not totally happy with it but I think it's a good first effort.

I really like the pose and the cropping. It's a shame about the focus though. I too the liberty and did some USM and it helped a bit. Very cute subject.

Hey, I didn't even realize you were from Malta! My last name is Zammit, so you know where my father was from. What city are you from? I must come and visit some day.

Congratulations on your first image Stephen. This looks like a real fixer upper huh? It might need a bit more contrast as it seems a tad flat. Good composition though.

Exceptional portrait. The lighting is fantastic and those eyes. The mark on her nose is a bit distracting. Other than that I really like this image.

I'm partial to this shot myself Micki, so much so that I used it for one of my business card layouts. Thanks again for your comments.
