There is a terrific atmosphere in this image, well done!

This is stunning. Can I ask what equipment you used, purely out of curiosity? (& not to take anything away from your vision & execution here)

Another experiment with a lens i recently made. I purposely pushed the

exposure on the water infront to try and remove any details, hopefully

adding a little mystery to the composition. I'd be interested to know

if you think it works or not. t/y for looking.

Didn't turn out quite how I wanted it but glad you liked the image.

Taken with a lens I made earlier in the week. Still experimenting with

it at the moment. t/y for looking.

Experimental shot with a custom lens. Getting the effect I want, just

need to stop down for such applications and get working with it. This

was just a 'snap' to see how it works out in the air. t/y for looking.

Thank you Michela - don't worry, I don't take it to heart. I appreciate your praise though, thank you. I was quite pleased with the shot & was exactly the sort of atmosphere i set out to capture. I could accept a 3 for originality, as let's face it, it isn't original at all, but I feel an explanation should be in place for a 3 for asthetics.

Thanks you both. My portraits are only ever family candids, so very personal to me... which makes it nice when someone notices them from a photographic POV :)

Jim - glad you liked that. I've been experimenting, trying to get the balance between softness and sharpness with portraits. I like the balance i got here. It was a shallow DOF to star with, but I did softness in PS and then add a boost of contrast at the end.
