ricardovaste 0 Posted November 4, 2009 After hours of stressful work, she sits back, rests her head andgazes at what she has written, if not with satisfaction, with anelement of relief. t/y for looking.
mark_starr 0 Posted November 5, 2009 Lovely portrait- In looking at her eyes I can feel the intensity of her concentration - quite a powerful feeling you have captured there- thanks for sharing it-Mark
gungajim 75 Posted November 5, 2009 I've recently been trying to develop an appreciation of soft focus portraits and find this one to my liking. GJ
ricardovaste 0 Posted November 5, 2009 Thanks you both. My portraits are only ever family candids, so very personal to me... which makes it nice when someone notices them from a photographic POV :) Jim - glad you liked that. I've been experimenting, trying to get the balance between softness and sharpness with portraits. I like the balance i got here. It was a shallow DOF to star with, but I did softness in PS and then add a boost of contrast at the end. Thanks, Rich
leecaudilljr 0 Posted November 6, 2009 Beautiful job. Even more stunning after reading that it wasn't a planned shot.It shows a caring softness that one can only get with an emotional attachment.
