Nice work, the processing is very effective. Thanks for sharing, Rich

Sorry if I am boring you with this subject, but I thought it was worth
revisiting in a different lighting condition, if for anything just
observation. For me the bluring of the grass in the wind works better
than the original, more static scene. But I feel the general
composition isn't as strong... I don't think the horizon right in the
middle works particularly well, I think including another frame of sky
would be more effective? This was two shots stitched together... which
is where I often seem to mess up on the composition.

I'm not sure about this one. I like the way the angles in the photo
hit from different directions (the path, the corn, the sky, the trees)
but I'm not sure if it's 'all too much' or not. I have a slightly
different comp, a little higher, w/o the blade of corn reaching into
the sky... i'm not sure which one works better, or if this is a
worthwhile photo at all. t/y for looking.

Yes, you have successfully scared the crap out of me. A great shot! The preparation and processing really work well together. t/y for sharing it.

Thank you for the comments. I'm glad you liked it, I'm pleased with how it came out.
Hilary, I used photoshop to create the image. It's just the basic use of layers and textures - try googling, there are loads of tutorials on how to work with layers. Feel free to email me if you have any more questions.
Thanks again,
Rich

Hi Gerry. Thanks for your compliments and thoughts on the shot. For what it's worth, there isn't any 'trickery' involved. This is simply one exposure with my camera with some adjustments in contrast to get it to where it was when I was there. It was naturally quite dark in parts because of the angle of the sun and the fact that I was shooting straight into it. But then again, I'm not one who believes a photograph is ever a representation of 'reality', so we may just have conflicting ideas :-)
