Yes Andre...the world misses her. Nervertheless Amália left us a lot to remember whenever we need. By the way, for those who want to know, the inscription on the "moliceiro" is "Amalia the voice of Portugal".

It's great to see my hometown photographed and seen on PN trough the eyes of non-native photographers. You captured very well the true colors on this "Moliceiros". Loved the fact that you included 3 boats (partialy) and not 1 full boat as normally they are photographed. Congratulations Sergio.

Not going to comment the shot itself but I wanted the point-out the fact that in 4 different photos you presented four different styles and all of them with the Paul Chepikian touch all over them - which is a good thing -. First the "Z", a great abstract-architecture-cityscape with strong colors and contrast and the mark of a great eye for detail and particularities. Then there was the "Flower dropplets" that I'm not used to see in your portfolio but still caught my eye before seing your name in front of it. The third one was the "fruit stand in the sun" and this one is clearly your thing. Capturing what the eye really sees is something that I can only find in your shots and probably in John Falkenstein's work. And for last this one. An abstract-with-a-digital-alteration-touch to finnish the show. It's great to see such an "elastic" technical skill. By the way...it's nice to see you posting regularly again. My best regards to you Paul. "See" you around.

Dont' find it over-sharpenned to be honest. I see a nice detail on the floating leafs. The light on the water (or the sky) was perfect for this shot. The dark tone on the water makes the leafs stand-out in a great way. The composition looks fine indeed with that less populated diagonal dividing the two triangles. Excellent work IMHO. Congratulations Bengt.

Excellent idea for an abstract. The texture is great and the pattern formed is very interesting indeed. I agree with Jeff tough. A little levels or curves or even a selective color adjustement on blacks and whites could make it even better. Anyway, it's a great work. Congratulations

I sincerely think this one's better than the horizontal one. Tough both compositions look fine I find this one much stronger in the whole. More depth, the road and fence become even more important and the sky gives that little extra that the horizontal one didn't managed to capture. Anyway, they're both great shots and my comment it's probably a question of personal taste. Congratulations...on both!

Agree with Will, it's an excellent shot. Excellent mixture of cold tones from the sky and water and warm tones from the rock, sand and stone structures in the bg. Those ripples in the right really help the composition and the same goes to the reflection in the middlegroung. Congratulations

What more can I say. It's a "Michael Haydon" shot no doubts about it:)

Very nice perspective and goo DOF. Composition works for me and the colour is just amazing. Congratulations

Not everyone has that idea Dusan but even if so I think time will prove it wrong. Artists play a very important role in that mentality change IMO. I'll always prefer a photographer portfolio to a CNN report no matter what!
My best regards, Rui.

:)) Thanks anyway Dusan. Unfortunatelly InterTran does a bad work translating Serbian/Croatian. "See" you around

I've been looking to this "Retro" Series (some of them in your "Other" folder)and I must make a couple of questions - hoping you don't mind -.
1. Are they all unmanipulated photos?
2. How did you made the measure on light for this shot in particular? What was you reference?
Thank you in advance

To tell you the truth I didn't liked the "Lights of St. Nicolas Nr.8" because the light was too much for me but in this shot it's somewhere near perfection. The light-rays, the mirror, the well visible images on the wall, the whole composition but specially the light that seems to come out of the wood altar (not sure it's an altar). The perfect lighting for the chosen environment IMO. The human presence is obviously a great touch. Minor points: probably just one. The white tissue on the upper-right corner transmits the feeling that the image is slightly tilted CCW. Probably just my impression. Not sure about this. Overall: Excellent shot. Congratulations Dusan

I think this shot is great shot but not a surprise after taking a look at your "Landscape" folder. The fact that you took this on a low-tide give us the chance to see the boat scars which I think makes the shot. The ropes anchoring the boat/ship are in fact anchoring the boat to the frame which is a nice touch. Also liked the dreamy effect on the mountains in the bg. The tonning works well IMO. Overall: a great shot. Congratulations

I fully agree with Kelvin more poetic vision of this shot but I guess that what first got me was the characteristics mentioned by Mark. The soft faded colours, the texture and the excellent use of bg. The way you placed the tulips in the frame, with that green textured leafs entering from the bottom-left, makes this shot work in a great way. Congratulations.

Mindaugas: Thank you for your visit and comment. I appreciate it.
Chris: Believe or not my tired eyes :) didn't notice any tilting until I read your comment. Now I can't see anything else but that :) I'm obsessed by that "almost horizontal" lamppost. The garbage can is something I praise when I visit this places and something I sincerely hate when I take photos. Also the damn thing was screwed to the cement square on bottom :) Thank you for your honest and always precise comments/critiques.
Amilcar: You and Chris are absolutely right :) Thank you for your critique.

Took another look and I must say I'm not sure about my own critique on the light on top :) Hard to decide

Taken in Castelo de Vide. The "house" where the kids are getting in is
a medieval synagogue built in the XV century when jewish people found
