What is an "autodump"?
-
I have been using Fuji mailers from B&H at $4.25 a pop -- their quality is great, they use cardboard mounts which you may want to remove if scanning.
-
Your local quick-e-photo guy is your friend. They have a sticky thingy that will retrieve your leader in no time flat. They do it all day.

Are there a lot of cameras where the hotshoe is not exposed?
-
-
Not exactly, Mark -- tires wear out gradually, whereas shutters can fail suddenly -- not really the same thing. And nobody is crying about anything that I can see.
-
These estimates are of necessity very vague -- I would guess that maybe 1/4 of the shutters fail before 50K and 3/4 after so 50K is a comfortable benchmark -- with virtually no relevance for the individual user.

I have had excellent result both from the Kodak mailers (PK-36) which go to District Photo in the Washington D.C. area, and Fuji mailers which are now a fair bit cheaper and which to to Arizona.

I would chck out www.craigslist.org and zero in on D.C. They have just about the only good deals in town -- and some bad deals. The stores with a lot of used cameras (Penn Camera comes to mind) charge outrageous amounts for them.

"I personaly realy dont care about the ink price since i sale my print at 35$CAN each...do the math."
That doesn't sound like very much.

I'm not familiar with the D 20mm since I have an AIS, but the D thing, while useful, is really fairly irrelevalt with superwides, because the distance to subject info is much vaguer for a WA than for a tele.

Yeah what the heck is that thing -- a toilet seat?

Hi there -- this is a correction of an earlier posting.
The subject line basically says it all. I've ordered an R2400 and am
wondering how much to budget per 100 13 x 19 prints. I know YMMV etc.
I'm just looking for a guesstimate. Thanks...

Per Trevor's question, I think I'd ask him how he managed to blow so much air into his image.
-
But it seems some of the U.S. market stuff is in fact made in China.
-
I think a lot of it has to do with diferent pricing strategies for foreign currencies, which sometimes benefit us. Seeming proof of this theory is that the price benefit often disappears.
-
Don't have your answer, but if it's like the SB-24/25/26, the foot comes of easily enough with two small phillips head screws. Probably pretty easy to take a look and see if anything's loose.
-
Paul, yes I meant the K3 inkset.
-
Does anyone have a thought about the 2400 vs 4800 question? I have ordered a 2400 but have been reading up on the larger one and see that the ink capacity is way bigger (8 oz per cart if memory serves, vice 1.5 oz) and wonder if it might be more robust too.

My local minilab is used to all my stuff being "do not cut" and in the end it's really les work for them.
-
I read here somewhere that DCP is really one guy and he's been sick.
