<p>Thanks Lex</p>

<p>I used to get a lot of help from Mark Newcombe from Sydney, Australia. I haven't been on the sports forum for ages and noticed he hasn't either.<br>
His MCNphoto.com site is gone now. Does anyone know how he is doing?<br>
Thanks, Andy.</p>

Go to DMOZ and add your listing info. It is where Google and all the others get their data. DMOZ is an open directory where every entry is reviewed by humans.<br>
Once you are on DMOZ start to play with your keywords, etc. to get as high up on google as possible.<br>

Good luck<br>

Barbara, what type of printer do you use when you print?
-
This is aimed at studio owners/photographers.
Do you print in-studio or send you work out to a lab?
If you print in-studio do you use inkjet or dye sub?
Any input appreciated.

I have both the Manfrotto 681 Monopod and the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L. I never used a head, just screwed them directly together. After a few years of using this combo I have dropped the monopod and handhold the 70-200. The Manfrotto 681 is in storage waiting for the day I can afford a 400 2.8. The 70-200 really isn't that heavy.

I'm with Charles on this one, contact Canon/Nikon first. I'd guess they will only supply businesses that have a real storefront.

As a wedding photographer do you feel having a studio/storefront gives you an
advantage over guys that work from home?
If you work from home have you considered opening a studio?
Thanks

Hi Mark
Why did you go with the 2145 (6x9) instead of the 1245 (8x10)?
Could you post some pics of you setup so we can drool!

I use a 30D with the 70-200 2.8L for competitions. I switched from Nikon to Canon last year because I was getting stressed out by all the noise. My starting point is always f/2.8, ISO 800, 1/250 and I adjust according to the rink lighting. The older/higher level skaters are much faster, so a faster shutter speed is needed. f/2.8, ISO 1000, 1/320 normally does the trick. Obviously you might be shooting in a real dungeon so these settings don't work. The main thing is to stop blurring and not go below 1/250 . If the lighting only allows you to use 1/160 try to shoot the skaters as they come towards you. <br><br>
- Do you use a monopod? if not get one, they really help. <br>
- Always use Manual settings - Always do a custom white balance. <br>
- Always focus on the kids head/face. <br>
- Use Noise Ninja to reduce the grain/noise.<br><br>
Good luck, <br><br>
