a rather captivating shot; not sure whether peaceful or melancholy. I would like to see some more contrast though as it is rather flat and doesn't lead me in to it as much as it could.

i like the contrast between the tranquil scene; almost dream like floating out of/into the unknown/unshown, and the energy and attention usually associated with sailing such a vessel. works nicely for me.

i like the way it works as an abstract - drop those shadows a bit further into black and it looks like a line of lighters just sparking up. I'm not sure i like the big blob of black at the end of the banister; i don't know what it is and it confuses my eye as it wanders around the shot. thanks

i like the shot overall, but i think her left boot needs to be lighter as it makes it feel a bit wonky having it so dark compared to the right

i went to sachsenhausen whilst at school and, of a week long trip, it was the only way to soundly shut up a large group of school kids. Even those that had no interest were subdued by the weight of the location. The shot brings back the memory. We went in summer, and it was a good week, but the colour and mood of this are what i remember. very bleak. well captured
