This one is much better! I really like it!
If you're going to try for perfection on an Ice Flowers III, I would cheat with Photoshop and blot out the dots or drops. It would also be interesting to get even closer and cleaner on the flowers. Also, I'm not sure about the dark blot on the background.

I agree with Nejat...it's makes me feel good.
It feels like I am there -- like I am in that rear seat of the canoe, on a beautiful day, on a calm lake, on a very enjoyable and comforable outing. The girl is not an olympic paddler who is out to set records. She's taking it easy and enjoying the day. (I'm undecided about whether the underwear showing is a good thing or not.)
There are other elements that make the photo work. The red and yellow are a good contrast to the blue and green, and more importantly, they brighten up the picture and add cheer to it. The blue and white of the clouds, sky and water line up in nice diagonals. The clouds almost form a path into the distance.
The only nitpick are the houses and buildings at the far edge of the lake. Might want to photoshop those out.

Great shot...great color and composition. My only nitpick is the lack of sharpness starting at about half-way out.

I like it.
I know the sky has beautiful color, but I wonder what this shot would be like with slightly less sky (crop top off where first mountaion starts) and slightly more water?
-
I like the patterns and I don't know how much of that detail you'd lose if you opened your exposure much more.
I don't like the background or composition. The bottom right corner of the image might make for an interesting picture.

Putting the horizon in the middle makes the photo flat.
You can see the added depth by cropping out either the bottom dark part or the top sky right above the trees.
I was tempted to suggest cropping out the dark bottom, plus the empty right side; but I think cropping out the top (I'd do it below the bright ball even if it means taking out the top of the first tree) makes for a more interesting picture showing a dark wide expanse (at twilight?)

Normally you want the main subject (the house and its reflection) to be off center and you don't want the water line to cut the picture in half, but I think this picture works very well.
There are interesting symmetries both vertically, because of the reflection in the lake, and horizontally, because the trees and clouds on either side of the house have similar shapes, with a tall leafless reflected tree next to the house helping to separate both sides. The plants in front give the picture some depth and framing, without interfering with this symmetry.
The symmetry is what makes this picture great.
In addition there is good color, good focus front to back and a nice soft quality to the picture.
I really like it.

I like it. I was thinking that the sun is too far to the center but the stretch of land to the right might give it some depth and feeling.
-
The bottom is dark and beautiful; the top is a bright jumbled mess. I suppose it provides a contrast, but I would crop out the top of the image right about where the long cascades start.

That brings up a good question...are we not supposed to comment on sharpness issues on this forum because of the possibility of sub-par scanners?

Pretty shot..I think you captured the feeling of the spot.
Suggestions: crop out the small patch of sky at the top and possibly a little off the right. Also needs slightly sharper focus and clarity throughout the picture.

Excellent shot...near perfect.
The horizon was well placed to give the picture depth.
Tiny nitpicks: would've like the boat just slightly off center on the right. Water and small waves towards the back could use sharper focus.
-
Basically a good shot, but I'm afraid it's been over-manipulated.

Awesome, but doesn't feel quite perfect.
The exposure is wonderful. You caught that balance where you were able to get the rays of light and still keep some detail on the rocks. Most shots would've either silhoutted the rocks or not captured the rays as much.
I'm not sure whether I like or dislike the white ocean of clouds on the top.
Sharper focus on the background rocks would help.

Horse, water and grass are great!
It seems incomplete with the horse's nose hidden behind the grass. Did you get any shots right when the horse lifted its nose just above the grass, or would the motion have blurred the shot at the shutter speed you were using? Also, I like the general scenery behind the horse so I wonder what a wider shot with more that background would look like.
-
Interesting rock formation. Everything else, including the light, is not interesting.
The picture does evoke a feeling of starkness. Widening the shot so that the rocks are standing more alone in the gray sky and dark sea might give it more feeling.

The texture and exposure on the frog is perfect.
-
Very nice...depth of field is great and the background green blur is great.
I like the tight thin flower -- it's different.
I don't like the black background on the upper left, however. If the background was all green, it would have been nicer. Just an elegant red flower on the complimentary green background would have been good.

Excellent!
I like the way the tree frames the sun burst.
My only nitpick is to lose the bush on the left and bottom left. It is unnecessay and detracts from the picture. Without them, the picture would take on even a more surreal quality -- like the tree is poking out of the clouds.
-
Too busy...don't like the brown thing on the left, the bright blurry cherry on top, the out-of-focus bottom of the leaf and probably not even the hole. I like the top of the leaf -- the edge, lines and shadow and most of the blur (except for the cherry) behind it.

what's with the banding?

Good eagle head shot. Good background blur that makes the head stand out very well.
There is some graniness there, probably from the scan.
With eagle shots, it's difficult to get detail on both the white areas and dark areas. You got good detail on the white, but lost most of it on the black.
