As I have said many many times in this forum, good sunset and sunrise photos come about because the photographer paid attention to put something of interest in the foreground to relieve the boredom felt by the severe backlighting. Here you did that and more. This is an excellent excellent photograph. Kevin

I love it! Actually, almost too much contrast and color, but it does work well to make for a dramatic scene. I'll bet it was a wonderful experience in person too!

I don't want to detract from what is a stunning image, but does anyone think that this would be an even stronger composition had the sun been in the left third of the frame?

Like I say, I hate to denegrate this shot because I love it, but I'm interested in what others think.

Excellent!

I like the way the tree frames the sun burst.

My only nitpick is to lose the bush on the left and bottom left. It is unnecessay and detracts from the picture. Without them, the picture would take on even a more surreal quality -- like the tree is poking out of the clouds.

I've never commented on a photo before, but this shot is so beautiful that I had to add my congratulations here. My first thought when I saw this image was that I'd love to see it made into a jigsaw puzzle.

This is truly an amazing photograph. Did you use a star filter or is that your lens? I like the way that sun looks - Excellent!

Normally I think photographs of sunrises and sunsets are boring, especially those over the ocean or another large body of water where there is little else of interest, except maybe clouds. But this is an exceptionally nice photograph.

Simply wonderful. Both composition and colour balance. Great work! (maybe I would just crop the foliage on the extreme left, still it's beautiful as is)
