Later I'll report the results By the way, in searching a similar situation, I found in a different site that one person had a similar situation with a D800, some years ago. Perhaps every 10,000 or 100,000 items a deffective body may appear...

I bought the camera 2 weeks ago in Amazon Mexico, the delivery box and Nikon box looked in god shape, no signs to be damaged. The unboxing was exciting but it last only a few minutes, when I attached a Nikkor 50mm F 1.4, I noticed that the mount was not receiving the lens well as it should be, there is some extra tightness, at the beginning of the turn is somehow normal but at the end of the turn there is an increased resistance. I feel unhappy and a kind of disappointed, a flagship camera should be under a better quality control. I have tried only one lens, in case there is a risk of damaging the lenses, I don´t want to ruin more of my lenses. Same lens mounts normally in my other bodies (D300, D300s). Later I took some pictures, did a zoom in the display and I could tell that the sharpness was not really good, I didn't do any adjustment for improving the fine focusing for that specific lens. Is there any other similar cases with other D 850 bodies ? Shoud I apply for the warranty or return the camera and get my money back?

Hi, I also have D300 and D300s, around 6 prime lenses and only one DX zoom. In my case I'm ready to move to the new D850, I rather prefer working with a better body in the FX format and taking better advantages from my prime lenses. Another key point I'm having in mind, is the technology available already from Nikon. Having said this, I could suggest you moving to a FX body and take full advantage of the high resolution a FX body may provide.

Good point Shun, I didn't consider the cancellation cases. I decide already to upgrade my equipment to the new D850

Hi Shun, everybody, It's been some time since my last post ... I think I'm ready and willing to update my equipment, D850 seems to be the next one for me. I'm also very interested about the new Digitizing Adapter, but I wonder how compatible it could be with the Micro 105mm instead of the 60mm as suggested by Nikon. One thing that I was expecting is more effort from Nikon about giving us, the users, more options to secure our own files, I mean, the chance to encrypt the files at the cards, not only to set up a password but a full encryption option. Somebody may say it makes slower the writing process... yes but for sometimes security goes in first place rather than speed. Let's see if later a firmware update gives us the chance to select that option from the menu.
