Current Legality of Aerial Drone Photography?
jerry_m replied to eric_guel's topic in Business of Photography

50 states, 50 different sets of laws, rules, statutes and regulations, plus a myriad of local rules, regulations and ordinances. In addition there are federal rules to consider. Suggest you consult a local lawyer. Your legal fee may be a tax deductible business expense.
-

Back "in the day" I had and used all three. Your series e lenses are all ais. They will work on the fe or fe-2. I preferred the FE and FE 2 over the FG. My favorite was and is the FE2. I liked the higher shutter speed and ttl flash. That having been said, the only film camera I still have besides an F2, is my FE2 with a 28 mm series e lens, a 50 mm series e and a 75-15 series e. All three of those lenses work on my d7000 by the way. But you will enjoy an FE or FE2 no matter which one you get.

Lex---thank you for your comments. I've ordered 1 screw in filter and will see how it works. I may get a Cokin later just to compare the two. A bit of experimenting should be fun. Jerry

Thanks Craig. My use of the word "landscape" was perhaps. a bit too broad. I want to experiment with some long exposures and also try to blur the background on sunny outdoor images of flowers and plants. I will be using the graduated nd for more of the broader landscape shots. I appreciate your advice.

Thank all of you for your responses. I appreciate your input. Based on every thing I read, I'll skip the Cokin (more afraid of scratching it ]) and go with a screw in type. I've used Hoya filters for years and have been satisfied with the results, so will probably go that route in a ND at least to start. Thanks again . Jerry

I'd like to try an 8x nd filter, but am not sure which way to go. I have the Cokin P holder and hood with various adapters, but am not sure if I should try the Cokin filter or just get a round screw in type from Vivitar' I've seen ads for a Vivitar series 1 set with the nd, cp filters at a very good price but am a bit leery about their quality. I would be using the filters on a Tamron 18-270 or a Nikon 18-105 lens and they have different thread sizes. Getting the screw in types would require either 2 filters or a step up ring. Obviously this would be for landscape photography.
I would like to hear from any one with actual hands on experience with these 2 filters.
Thanks for any advice Jerry

How to sell an expensive camera...
jerry_m replied to russell_t's topic in Casual Photo Conversations

I have bought and sold a few items on Craig's list although nothing quite that expensive. I always insist on a cash transaction only (no checks or money orders) and meet in the lobby of the local police station. Some of the local police station here in south Florida actually encourage this. There are usually security cameras there too to id any bad guys just in case----Jerry
