Where did you find these informations, Wolf?
-
You have to mix 1+3 and ix for about 6 minutes. Agitation, 2 inversions every 15 seconds, like for PMK. You can fix about 20 films with one liter of ready to use solution.
-
I have some in my fridge. But they sell it as a positive 20 iso film. IN fact it seem to be a 1 iso film. Very hard to use.

Well, I alos found this picture. But what I am looking for is the detail of inside the telemeter...
Thanks Robert ;)

Hi,
I am looking for the technical resource of Rollemeiter 3,5. I have opened it
beacause there was a problem inside, but in fact I don't know the original
mount. Do you have a picture showing that?
Thanks a lot

TXP 320 in 220 do not need any pre soak. I develop directly with Calbe A49 1+1.
-
So what could reduce it?
-
Hi,
I thought a few nights ago that I could add hardener in Fixer in order to make
the emulsion more hard. Do you think that could reduce curling of Eastern films
like Foma?
-
In my opinion, every film may give good results if developped in proper developer, for proper time. I use both 400TX, 320TXP, HP5 and results are equal. You can also try Foma 400. The most difficult is to find the good developper and time.

For portraits, all fine grain films are good options. But there is a difference between old fashioned films like FP4+/PlusX and modern grain films like delta or T max. Personally, I prefer old fashioned one, and Plus X with its round fine grain is very very beautiful in portraits. But a little hard to find.

Hi all
Thanks a lot for everything. As I work in analog it's dfficult to appreciate the light quality at the same time. So thanks, I'll work :)
-
Well, my question is in the title. I would like to use flash lighting
(multiblitz 2*400Ws) but I don't know how and for which result. Do you know a
website that explains all?
Thanks

If you like to buy some, I can see with the vendor how to do at the best price :)
Tell me by mail aurelien.le-duc@aliceadsl.fr

Nope. BRF 15 is really a new film, made by Forte following Bergger specifications. You can find it in France, if you want at la photogalerie@cegetel.net. Price 4,50?
-
I am working with Mamiya 7. No back. You have to load the film each time, and 220 film is very useful, to have 20 pics. Changing the film every 10 pics is really a problem. I would like Ilford reintroduce 220 film, but as far as I know, they won't.
-
Well, you cann try Calbe A49 1+1 @ 24ᄚC during 10 minutes. The best developper for this film. It's used by Sebastiaoo Salgado in his work "Genesis".
-
If you have still Rodinal, try it. Rollei Retro 400 is relabelled Agfa APX 400. The most adapted developper is Rodinal. But if you have not, I think D76 may be better than Ilfosol S. I don't like Ilfosol at all.

Do you know the prices in France?
3,10euros for PanF
3,20euros for HP5
3,40euros for FP4
and they are the price of discount internet shop.
In a traditional shop FP4 and HP5 are 4euros; and PanF 5euros.
Make the conversion in $ and you'll understand I would buy it the price you anounce.

Exactly the same problem with film in format 220. They have the film, but they don't want to cut it twice as long as 120. They say that it's not the same machine.
-
I have just bought a film loader. Indeed, it's depressing. But Fuji film distribution was very poor. And people didn't know they were selling their films as bulk.
Ilford is one of the last brand to sell their film as bulk, and I hope it's going on.
Bulk is really less expensiv (50% off)...

Hi,
I asked Kodak recently, and this is their answer about PXP 220:
"I am sorry to say that Kodak Professional Plus-X 220 is no longer being
made, but we do continue to make Kodak Professional Tri-X Film in 220,
catalog #828-6825.
If you should have additional questions, please be sure to revisit our
site as we are continually adding information to enhance our support. "

If I could I would advice to use Perceptol with FP4 and ID11 with HP5. These developpers are particularly adapted to these films and deliver very thin grain. I think microphen is not really adapted to FP4. Microphen is more developped to fit with sensitive films like HP5 or delta 400 and 3200.
Friendly,
Aurelien
