Thanks, I was afraid of that. My 3A focusing scale is held by a couple of screws (that may have shifted), and the scale underneath is just a feet/meters conversion table.
I will try the method you describe, temproarily placing the ground glass agains the actual film rails.
Thanks- I will let you know how it turns out.

I just got a combination back for my Kodak 3A (Thanks Alan!). Can I
use the image in the ground glass to adjust/calbrate the bellows
focusing scale? I am concerned that the ground glass may not sit
exactly on the focal plane,or at least the same plane that roll film
would. Does anyone know? I have one roll of 122 that I do not want
to "experiment" with, so my intent is to make sure the focus scale
is right before I plop the film in and start shooting....
Thanks

John,
Thanks for all your sage advice! I am going to hold on to the 3A I have and the new bellows for a future project. I bought Alans gear, so I should be back in business soon.
Thanks again

Thanks. Yeah that is the conclusion I am arriving at. The 3 A I have is in great shape otherwise, and the set of replacement bellows I have coming are new. I wish I could have replaced the bellows myself. I took the old one off (cut it off actually) with the hope that the attaching points for the bellows would be screws or something. Instead I found small rivets, which ground the replacement project to a halt.
Meanwhile, my roll of 122 Tri-X is cooling in the fridge.

I have a nice Kodak Autographic 3-A with bad bellows. I found a new
bellows AND a roll of 122 film. Does anyone know where I can send
the camera to get the bellows replaced/installed?
Can anyone help me identify this problem?

See the picture below. A vertical line appears on some (but not all)
of the pictures I have taken with this camera. I cant correlate it
to anything in particular.
Has anyone seen this? What is it and what can I do about it?<div></div>
