The combination of colors and the shadows, the exposure so that the colors aren't lost in either the shadows or the highlights, the composition, and the presence of mind to take this shot make this an exceptional photo. Nice work!

excellent colors, but the picture is a little too busy for my taste (what's the main subject?)
-
Thanks for your comments.

O'Hare, right? I think a bit more blur would have given a better sense of movement to this shot.
-
I like the composition, but not the soft focus
-
very sharp, "plain" a composition
-
the black corners are a function of the scan - in the original slide
there is a smooth gradation of deeper blues.
Thanks for taking a look.

was experimenting one night while camping. Do you think it could
have used a longer exposure?
-
nicely exposed
-
a tough subject to expose well, but I think it is too dark overall.
-
very nice shot, though I would have liked to see more movement in the fair-goers. perhaps too tight a crop too.
-
I like this for its simplicity and its color. What do you think?
-
Andrew - thanks for the comment. I did not use a filter for this shot - in fact, at the time all I owned was the P3 and the 50mm lens. I do not think that this was near the tree line - just an open area in Yosemite (near the southern end, if I remember right).
-
I don't remember the shutter speed on this one, but I remember it
being very dark on the beach (after sunset) and I grabbed this shot
figuring nothing would come out. Well, something did and I think it
has an unusual feel to it.
-
I like the sense of action in this photo, but the glare off the water is distracting and the darker water is a very dull gray.

Your ratings are welcome, but your thought/comments are desired.
Thanks.

I am actually unsure about how I feel about this one, though there
must be something about it since I decided to upload it to PN. ANy
thoughts?

excellent cloud formation. too bad the flatirons and trees are so dark.
-
along the top edge of the large rock outcropping I see a band of pixelated space - was something removed? added? is it a jpeg compression thing? Other than that I really like the composition and the softness of the background.

As always, your thoughts are most welcome and your comments are
greatly appreciated.
