Thanks all. It's always rewarding when I can get "a keeper" from a failed attempt at something else.
I too see Australia in there - maybe I can sell it to the Australian Tourist Commission!

Tried shooting fireflies (no luck). Instead got this one. What do
you think? Need more color?

A cross-processed shot of my daughter. I think the contrast really
works well with this one. What do you think?

Would love to know what you think. TRI-X pushed to 1600 (since most
of this roll was used to take my night Mill Ave photos). Thanks.

Hi Alex -
I don't have any experience with Jeffrey Pine, but from what I've read it smells more like vanilla than does Ponderosa - though Ponderosa definitely has a "vanilla-y" smell.
BTW I've just started putting some of my better Galapagos photos in my gallery - take a look if you're interested.

Up close and personal with a Ponderosa Pine!

An intriguing shot (sorry, no pun intended). I didn't realize what the subject was until I clicked on the thumbnail and saw the larger image. It's rather abstract. Nice job.

Not sure how much I like this one. There's something there I think,
but maybe it is too uninteresting? Too much foreground?
What do you think?

Thanks for your comments.

Taken in the Galapagos in November. Comments?

my favorite part of this photo I think is how the background (trees?) matches up with the horses/riders - excellent capture

An abstract of sorts taken of a Navajo Yucca. I used a rather
wide-open aperature to get the shutter speed necessary on a windy day.
I like the shallow DOF. Thanks for your thoughts and comments.
