The next big wave rolls in to smash into the Sandsend Hotel ....and me too! best veiw larger

Taken on the high spring tide with a north easterly gale blowing. This is as near as I have
ever come to surfing! at my age i didnt know i could still run so fast. Not to be recommended
with a D2x in your hand and weighing 224 lbs!

Sandsend nestles on the east coast of Yorkshire and gets hammered by these enormous
waves at certain high spring tides and north east winds. The effects of global warming are a
real worry for the locals, how long as this hotel got ? Thanks for looking

No photoshop work on his image the light is real its caused by the sun shinning through the fog , it was a very special day. The dominant tree is over 300 years old .Thanks Keith

This is the B/W version of 'Glorious Garden', to me, the b/w version really shows how dark
