Thanks guys I had a feeling they'd work since they seem too look exactly the same. I
love the 110/2 F but filters for it are such a pain to find. I'd like to get the bayonet
mount ones since they seem easier than adapter and screw filters. I'll give in soon
though i'm sure.

I have a Hasselblad 110/2 F lens and am having a difficult time finding filters such as the proxars
and softars in a reasonable price. While looking around I saw some softars which are called B77.
I have seen in the past people saying that B57 filters would fit on B50 lenses. So does anyone
know if they work or not?

I did see the solution and was able to get the Velvet Fine Art to work. One problem
still persists for me though. I have some Moab Entrada Bright Rag in 5x7 sheets. It
says to print using the Watercolor Radiant White which is like VFA only shows up
doing the rear feed. Problem is I can't select a manual feed setting for 5x7 size.
Anyone know how to get this to work?

I'm having the exact same problem, when I inserted the MK ink none of the Velvet Fine
Art of Watercolor Papers are showing up. I am using Mac also but 10.5.2 So i'm eager
for a solution also.

Well like the topic asks, can I use sheets of Museo Silver Rag in an Epson R800? I am asking because I am
wanting to buy an R800 with Piezography Inks to print B&W 8x10s. Thanks all.

Thanks everyone, I wasn't sure if it was too thick or not. I'll wait til the cut sheets are around then maybe i'll pick up a cheap R800, plop in some of the dedicated B&W inks and give it a try.

I'm just curious if Crane Silver Rag paper will work on an Epson R800, I've
heard many good things about the paper and would love to give it a try. I
don't really think i'll need to print larger than 8x10 very often hence the
R800. If the R800 won't work which Epsons will? Thanks

I'm looking to get a strap for my Rolleiflex 3.5f. Everything in the stores
i've been too won't fit due to the Rolleiflex's weird strap lugs. I'm looking
for a suggestion about which straps will fit, and preferably I could get from
B&H. If possible a smaller and more plain strap would be ideal. Thanks

Would this be a huge difference in purchasing from a place like B&H?

I'm looking at BHphotovideo and is there any difference between these two
Kodachromes other than about $5 a roll? One is labled professional and the
other is I guess a consumer film. Thanks

The Concerned Photographer exhibit is very cool I saw it a couple of weeks back. It was smaller than I thought but still very moving. If you have a car there I suggest getting a good Chicago Hot Dog at Superdawg which is at the corner of Devon and Milwaukee. Its a drive-in hot dog stand with Giant colorful hot dog characters on the roof, great photo op but also great food.

Ok well all is solved and well. Turns out what I did was infact put the film through the wrong way, and had the pressure plate set to 35mm by accident. I put the film under all 3 rollers and the pressure plate came set for 35mm from adorama and I didn't notice it. So i fixed that, shot a test roll, had it processed at the same place and everything was good. Now I can use some real film. Thanks everyone you all saved me having to hassle with a return :)
-
Wow thanks for the help guys, I think you are right i'm pretty sure I loaded it correctly the first time and not the second. I also just noticed the pressure plate was set for 35mm, whoops! I just want to make sure how to load it. I was reading the manual online and it kinda confused me I see 3 sets of rollers. The first is the double set with the top being the largest. Then it goes a tiny bit and there is another roller right before the opening for the film stage, then the last is the one right after the film stage. What I did the second time is i put it underneath all 3 of the rollers. What is the correct way? Thanks

I looked at a roll of film I ran through it but hadn't got developed since I ran it wrong and then exposed it by accident, but it also had the scratches. They seem to be on the paper and then must have went through to the negative. On the first roll I didn't feed it through the second roller by accident so it only hit the first roller. So i'm guessing its either the first roller or the film stage like you mentioned. I'll clean it and give it another try. Thanks again.

I just got a Rollei 3.5f from Adorama and I got the first roll back
and it has huge scratches running down the negatives. I'm curious
if to what caused them is this piece of metal in the area where the
film goes cause it. The place where you place the orignal roll of
film on the bottom there is a piece of foil like metal that curls up
and almost looks like it cups the roll off film. Does anyone know
if this peice of foil like metal should even be there? Where are
other good places to look for sources of negatives scratches?
Thanks

The only answer I could give is that if you go to Maco's website it lists them making both UP25 and Rollei Pan 25 though it doesn't say they are the same. I wish I could get my hands on some Maco UP25 to test against some Rollei and Efke to compare them, but alas I haven't see anywhere in the US that sells the Maco UP25. Do you know of anyplaces or at the very least anyone that will ship it to the US?
-
I've read people saying its APX 25 also but then most people say that they are wrong. If you go to Macos website its actually listed on there so i'm pretty sure they are the ones making it.
http://www.mahn.net/Frameset.htm
its listed as
"Rollei films, produced by MACO, "Made in Germany" '

No problem Arthur. I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to film and so far i'd say the Rollei pan 25 is my favorite B&W i've used. The only problem is the negatives were very thin and seemed to curl even though they were developed by a pro lab who has done a very good job on other films with no curls. Also i got a bit of a light leak on the first frame it looked like. I've got some Efke 25 right now to test against it, but i havent' had the chance yet hopefully this week but its finals week so who knows.

Eric isn't kidding about Central Camera. There prices aren't the best, but its a great store. The kind you feel ok paying too much for just because you want them to stay around. They did have some nice closeouts on Velvia 50 in 120 size, i bought the rest of what they had. Freezer time for them.
-
I too love Millenium Park, its pretty much where I go to test new things out. I don't have any good film shots of it yet, but i've got a roll of APX100 I shot there i need to get that developed hehe.

Ok maybe this is a stupid question but I was wondering if I could
ask them cut and mount my negatives like slides. I prefer scanning
and storing slides so haveing the negative in the slide older would
be nice. Would they be able to do this or would they laugh at me?
Optical printing would be of no matter since they would be scanned
in and then printed if any printing was to be done. Thanks all.

Thank you both very much that paper clip did the trick nicely. Now time to start scanning some Velvia! Thanks again

What type of Polarizer for a Mamiya 645 AF used manual focus only...
in Medium Format

Hi all I was just wondering if anyone knows if I could get away with using a linear polarizer if I am
using a manual focus Hasselblad lens on a Mamiya 645 AF. Thanks all.
