I have a Dell LCD and bought the Huey earlier this year (I was using a Spyder before)... I'm pleased with the results I've gotten.
-
most folks are at least using 1024x768 now, but I thought it wise to make sure mine would fit on an 800x600 screen wothout scrolling...

thanks Nadine!
-
I like it alot... Simple. Elegant. What might be nice is (on the back) a black & white image, fairly faint--maybe at 40% opacity or so?
-
thanks Nadine, yep, that post was great in helping with the 5x7 (my kids laugh less at me now), but it just didn't seem to translate to this size for me...I was wondering if there was a different technique....arrggh

I've purchased an 8x16 super collapsible, and am weary from trying to get this
awkward beast back into it's bag... can anyone point the way to clear
instruction? I'm inches away from getting the scissors and MAKING it fit in the
bag...
thanks!

Best: D2x
Worst: Gary Fong's 2 day "digital intensive" DVD set. P'd me off to pay more than $100 for a stinkin' Bullzeye & Lightsphere brochure.
-
Of the 2, I think you'd be better off with the top one... though the first thing I think of is the font...it needs to change (IMO, of course). It I'd look to something more script-like, letting the D & P intertwine, expanding on the current overlap. I think this could be the start of something really cool & elegant.

winkletwebdesign.com.... no flash skills required, edit with a simple text file (a little html helps, but they have alot of good "how to do it" for most things you might want to do). Sharp, easy, inexpensive, awesome service.. I'm very pleased.

oops--make that 9100 & ESP.
-
I use the Wolverine 7100 & new ESP; they both display RAWs.
-
#4... I'd pick #2 last.
-
very nice Alex! Was that just existing light?
-
all you need to do is give them the pics to take to get the passports, the issuer does the rest. They're not terribly picky either..Did mine & my wife's last summer.

Patrick, thanks for the compliment on my site...winklet's awesome as far as customer service too... theu even reconfigured a script for me when my last web host changed thing, preventing it from working!
Jim, Don't be afraid of the flash template route, at least not "dynamic" templates...I don't know jack about Flash either...the cool thing about these, is that I update it only with NOTEPAD! Super easy!!
Plus, less than $100 (some much less), what's not to love? Download a demo of any of these...you'll see how easy it is!

I used to roll my own, but went with a flash template from winkletwebdesign.com, after a poster here recommended them... I'm quite pleased, and get a lot of compliments on my site. For my money, flash is the way to go these days...

the white block & text is working out, but the more I see it, the more I think you might be better to find a atronger image...it just looks a little dim now... or maybe brighten the higher end of the histogram a bit?
-
yep, what Gary said...rotate the text to the same orientation as your image here...
-
hmmm...for me, the red really throws the rest of the black & white card off... on the other, I think more contrast (maybe a different image?) would be good, and yeah, the text on either needs to come off the card much more. You might try using a white block or stripe, about 50% opacity, and put the text on it...that would help I think...I'd like to see more punch in the image itself...

I've gotten decent results with ProShow Gold (I like what they have with v3), but am looking for more capability... I'm giving Encore DVD 2 a go now...
-
in ProShow Gold 3, there is an option called "include original files on DVD," ...I'm not sure if it'd collect shots not "included in the show" though...

I've been pleased with the G Technologies drives...I've got 500 & 250Gs, & link them via firewire... very good so far. B&H sells them
