To rent cameras or lenses, check out lensrental.com and borrowlens.com
I was just going to suggest this. My husband has used lensrental a number of times, and it's a really cool service. It's actually how he talks himself OUT of buying something. :) He rents it, and decides it isn't quite what he wants or thinks it will be. Our local camera shop didn't have any D7500s to rent over Christmas, so he had lensrental.com send a kit straight to his mom's house in South Dakota, where we were going for the holiday. Super handy and convenient, and a great way to try before you buy.

Has anyone claimed these yet?
Nope, they're yours if you want them! PM me your address if you are still interested.

Hi all,
I hope I'm allowed to do this, if not, please forgive me!
I've been doing some cleaning up of my photo stuff, and I have an opened package of 100 4x5 Print File Negative preservers.
I think there is one page missing. I tried to sell them on ebay but was unsuccessful.
So I'll send these free to whomever wants them, within the continental US.
Thanks!
Julie

I don't know if you're ever interested in hiring a guide or doing a Yellowstone workshop, but I met this guy last summer in Big Sky who does both. I bought a photo of his at an art festival, talked to him for awhile. Nice guy.

Bad fire season in the West -- 'bout the only "benefit", sometimes superb sunrises / sunsets. Here in Montana, a daily haze.
Yes, I'm very fond of saying that nothing makes for great sunsets like air pollution. :)
Here in SLC we get lots of that...

. I think I found the metering more consistent than my D800 and D810, and the AF more prone to hitting - possibly because the reduced resolution was less prone to showing up sharpness issues.
I just upgraded from a D700 to a D750, and my experience is the same. I feel like I got away with a lot more with my D700 that I can no longer on the D750. The metering was right on and I feel like I never missed and had a very low percentage of out of focus shots, it sort of made me feel invincible. :) Enjoy your new to you camera, I think the D700 is a fab choice!
ETA: I love the 24-85 as a general walk-around lens. I started with the D version, and really liked the close focusing ability, but the quality of the newer version is noticeable on the D700. FYI...

Interesting, IDK what was up, but I see your likes today. (Thank you!!!!) I had trouble replying to a post yesterday as well, just would not post. So maybe there was something up with the server. (BTW, I have a weakness for the herding dogs, we have Australian Shepherds.)
