Thank you Peter, I was looking for contrast, gloom and bright sunshine together.
I was not entirely happy with a toned down foreground which didn't capture the scene as I remembered it... bright October sunshine following heavy rain.

Cornwall and Huntingdonshire are both subject to our apalling weather, this street resembles closely a street above the harbour in St Ives, Cornwall. A very good photograph irrespective of my embarrassing error. -
This is a great image of a street in an ancient Cornish seaside village, it has a typically weatherbeaten quality. Very good.
