There are so many repeating curves, John. Truly beautiful. The skirt, the beads, the curve of her legs and torso. Each lead the eye to the next.

I think I like the original better, the spires in the background help (for me) to balance the shot.

My deepest congratulations to you all! Love, joy and health to your new baby, my friend.

Exceptional.

The hand in focus is a brilliant idea. Transforms the shot from good to great, and the light (of course the light!) behind the hand and on the fingers is perfect.

Even without the title I could tell she was a bit suspicious of what she was hearing :)
Great portrait.

I agree with Kurt. There is an immediacy and intimacy to the image that transcends technicalities. Very nice shot.
-
Beautiful simplicity. Your lighting is always wonderful.

Brings new meaning to the term "myopic" :)

The work you got from this young woman is amazing. The Kate billboard is simply perfect here.

Your post processing is inventive and beautifully done. The image could likely stand on it's own, but the post makes it a beautiful turn of the century post card. Lovely image.

John, I'm surprised no one has yet complained about the pose. While it looks awkward, in the context of this series I believe it works exceptionally well. Her torso and rear are rendered almost as architecture.
-
Love the light in this series. This is very strong, great detail in the body and beautiful softness in the bokeh.

John, I got the blues and I got 'em bad :)
The color cast, IMO, serves her skin tone well, and I love what it does to the boots.
-
She certainly makes this pose her own, John. Love the hair, too, or how your treatment gives it such texture. And the blue! The blue cast in these NYC shots are growing on me.

Did I pass?

John, truly a beautiful piece. Of course she's lovely, but her contribution is equally beautiful. She's composed this as if she's the statue amidst your other works of art. My sincerest compliments to you both.

Beautiful, with gorgeous detail and sharpness.

I like that red ball, and I wonder how it got there...the things that interest me :)

John, I certainly meant no disrespect to the photographer nor the model with my comment. Clearly it's technique, both yours and especially this model's, that separates this image from a purely "men's mag" shot.
