<p>IF i'm looking at the web site like the 24mm f/1.4 looks much better then the 17-40.</p>

<p>Well, I use now 1Ds markII with 17-40 lens , i like it very very much, the colores, saturation,contrast,sharpness everything is great.<br>

The only thing i hate is the F/4, I shoot documentary, news, and everyday I shoot a lot in side and the high iso in the 1Ds is good but F/4 is not good for me. <br>

I bought the 17-40 and not the 16-35 because the differens in the lenses is only one stop. And this stop wouldn't help me, so I thought of buying Canon 24mm f/1.4 because I love primes, and most of my shoot with the 17-40 are 20-28...</p>

<p>My question is how the 24mm f/1.4 is different/better then the 17-40 f/4?! What are the optical differences in these 2 lenses.</p>

Well I need a backpack that wouldn't be to big.

I'm caring in my backpack Hasselblad 501 with 150mm lens without a back, Hasselblad SWC with a back, Zoom H4 sound recorder,

Macbook and couple of notebooks. It's not to much equipment to carry but the small National geographic wont fit me.

the problem with Tamrac is that I hate al this Photo begs and the National geographic looks to safari as all say. So i don't know what to

buy for this equipment...

I swichted from rollei to hassel, and i'm looking for portrait lens, for wide i have my Hassy SWC and i love it!!:):)

 

Medium format portrait lens quest :

 

first of all i started with rollei 6003 and 180mm lens with 17mm tube, It's to big for me and the minimum focus point is very far from what

i'm looking for.

Then I bought the 120mm f/4 macro-planar and never put it a side,love it BUT sometimes it make the face's look wide like with 80mm

lens:( this is the only problem I got with this lens.

 

Well and now I switched to Hasselblad, 501C body and I need a portrait lens and i don't know maybe i shouldn't by 120mm and take

150mm instead (but i never used) and my concern is that the minimum focus point of 120mm 0.8 is not the same as 150mm 1.4mm and it

can be critical for me because i shoot a lot of Feet (i'm working on a book called "Portrait Manifest- Foot Fetish vol.2" ) and all of the

frame's kind of close-up. OOO and Planar Sonnar question... what is better ??

Hi I'm flying to berlin next week and i'm looking for a trade-in shop to trade my rollei 6008 integral2 with 80mm

lens,120mm lens,180mm lens,45 prism to Hasselblad 503cw and 120mm f/4 lens (maybe also 45 prism).

 

Do you know where in berlin i can find a shop that will trade me??

Do you know if i can develop Rollei in HC-110.If yes, so for how long do i need to develop it?

Hello, 10 day's ago I was shooting at the sea with my ROllei 6003 and distagon 50mm, and after 13

minutes of 15 minute exposure the tripod fault into the sea, My camera and the lens- lets say: "total

lost!!":(

 

Well Now I'm thinking about buying another rollei probably 6008Integral2, I whodunit buy another

distagon, instead i'll wait about 2,3 month and buy Hasselblad SWC;)... But now I don't know may be a

should buy Hasselblad 503 instead of Rollei?? I love all the electronics but, They don't let me think, I work

with the rollei like it's a machine gun,like me Canon 5d... Hasselblad wont need batteries (it's a BIG PLUS)

well and all the metering I can do My sell with my minolta meter.!?\

I work most off the time in studio and my journalist work i do digital. I need the meduim format for

portrait and landscape. For landscape i'll get the Hasse SWC , for portrait I'm thinking between Rollei and

Hasselblad.

If i'll buy LF it's for using 4x5 most of the time:)

I had before a Cambo LF it was nice,but I want more series approach to LF.

I wan't a good lenses i want a camera for long time now. There is no where to run from the

big brother, i loved my camera, but because it's dead I thing of going higher ;)

I know that working with big format is a tuff job but because of my runnig I killed my rollei

because i'm always on the run. i need to settle down to thing and my be doing one shoot

instead of 12 or 36..

For me today to buy a new rollei with this lens is about 4,000 dollar maybe more (second hand)

so I started thinking and I thought may be to buy 4X5 camera with 4x5 back and 6x6 back!? Linhof has a

6x6 back:):):) And every time that i was thinking of 4x5 i was looking at the Technikardan 4x5 of linhof , I

never used it It just look's great and I know that linhof is a great camera brand.

 

I know that in this way or another I will by 4x5 one day so why no to do it today??!! I will sell my Rollei

lenses and by a wide and tele for LInhof!? My question is which lenses to take,sothing good but not

something tooo expensive !? I need 50mm on 6x6 and 120mm on 6x6!?

Need help : I want A backpack for everyday.. I got one bag for my medium format camera and i want one

for my laptop (macbook 13") and Canon 5D with 28mm and maybe another lens.

Would the 30mm work with my ROllei 6003 and If it will is it really a fish-eye

I was thinking of getting the 50mm and soddenly I found the 30mm used in some

shop in Moscow(where form i order my gear) and I was thinking maybe go wider

than 50mm... what can you say about the 30mm lens??

Well I bought Wide lens for my Rollei 6003 and I'm happy, one day I'll buy Digital Back for it and i'll shoot 100% with it:):)

well I Love my Rollei and 99% of all my pictures made by it:) I don't like my Fuji it's big and I don't know if I really need it,I really want a everyday camera that i can throw into the bag,I had Hasse Xpan rangefinder and I it was great but I know for sure the only film that i'll shoot from now is 120 (Rollei) ... I don't want to go back to 35mm, so I thought That Leica M8 will be great for my,for my photojournalism it can be nice and for everyday work Leica is so small:):)

How good is This M8 comparing to FUji s5 or Nikon D200 !? I use Fuji now for my

digital work (photojournalism and jewelery-macro) and for everything else I use

Rollei 6003 (LOVE IT) but I thought maybe selling My Fuji and get A small camera

like M8 but Is the M8 is truly a great camera like the Film Leica's ??
