Jim, I never hear anyone else explain the effect of HDR, like I do. Something about
overdone HDR makes my stomach upset, and I am not sure why.

Love this image Matt. Of course I like all of your images, but this one shows the love of the dog and its owner..

Matt, the 70-200 is a good tool for you. I love all of your images, but these long shots are my favorite. I hope you are successful with your work (it looks like you are). I think a lot of photographers wonder how to "make it" in photography, and one of the ways I suggest is to find a niche and a market. You've done it well, it is unique, and you are a master of it.

Matt, I love all your images, but I had to comment on this one. Just wonderful. Love the motif of the all-American sport... with a German dog anyway <g>. Your love of dogs really shows in your work. God Bless! Axel

Absolutely Stunning! Congratulations on a superb image that has it all, Marina. Love the colors (right on with intensity, subtlety, and matching combination). I wish the magazine was square format, so it could do the image justice. Would love to know the technical details. Axel

What an appropriate image, given the end of October. I like it very much, as it is strong, visually, and great texture.

I like it very much. I'm starting to rebel against compositionally perfect images. There is a sincerity of an image that is not too perfect, though this one is pretty close to it.

Fabulous shot. Love your low key lighting, focus, and composition.

I love this series, and I'm totally diggin' the hat. Between the hat, glasses, and mustache, it has a Father Guido Sarduci look.

Larry, I like that you're shooting into the sun. I've been contemplating the issue with my own work. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but I realized, as photographers, we often try too hard not to shoot into the light source for all the obvious bad consequences. But when you take control of the the situation, like you've done here, I think it makes for a very expressive photograph.

Very nice Radu! I love the clouds and tree. It could have been taken where I live, in Oregon. Thanks also for your kind support and words on my portfolio. I will be checking back with you more often! Axel

Girl, you are out there on the edge! Love it.

No, I think it's great. Nice style.

Okay, you killed that w/nw thread on big shadows. How can you beat that? Gorgeous image. I am so anxious to climb Hood again. I tried to get in through Mazama's this year, but was a little late. I used to lead climbs but I'm a little out of practice. Wonderful, wonderful shot. When are you coming to the right side of the mountain?

It's not possible you're actually using film are you?

Wonderful images Scott. I'm totally aligned with your rural views. Nice work! Axel.

Nick, I love this shot. You could easily shoot this with the background in focus, but you didn't. Very nice B&W.

Gorgeous and dramatic... just the way I like it.

I ran into your portfolio the other day Justin, and was so impressed. I love your lighting. As for blown out highlights, JPEG on the web can't do justice to a high def image that was probably created for publication. I also like that you haven't been doing photography for long, and that it wasn't your original line of work. You are a very fast learner indeed.
