  1. The photos of the fall colors were taken with a 5D Mk II with a Nikon 14-24mm lens and a polarizing filter. It takes a big filter on the 14-24 and not vignette.

When I look at an image I ask myself would I like it at 30x40 inches hanging on my wall. This one is a yes indeed. The blue cast broadcasts "COLD" without being overdone. Great use of TS-E lens. How far from the lens it the ice chunks?

    Morgan Hill CA

I took this from the top of Morgan Hill's landmark El Toro Mountain. It is compose of 8 individual shots, scanned on a Minolta Dimage Scan Multi II and stitched in CS5. This made a 45649x8267 image with amazing detail.

  15. The sky looks like it's been done in HDR like photomatix but not overdone. You did a beautiful job and came up with a new look to a well photographed location. I love it.
  16. All your technique is sound, the exposure is right. For more definition in the clouds you could make composite of 2 different exposures. The wall across the front is interesting but blocks the viewer from travelling into the scene. Maybe find something else for a foreground of interest.
  17. Monochrome overall with small spot of color automatically draws the eyes to your subject. He is looking left and you put him on the right--works good.
  18. Looks like a sci-fi illustration. I'm coveting your gear too. Try the 14-24mm. I use one on my 5d2 and it's amazing. Gave you a 6.
