New processing technique (over the one I tried with this photo 8 years ago).

One of the best shots of I have ever seen, Amazing!
-
Composition! Really intense!
-
Great detail in the clouds - would be very interesting to see this punched up a bit and printed on perl/metallic paper ... would really make some of pop!
-
Amazing balance - great capture!

Are you kidding me ... Wow - EXCELLENT capture! You've given me some ideas!

this is a manual HDR shot (brushed in layers in photoshop with a bracketed
exposure) thoughts?
-
I desaturated (obviously) everything except the moss - which seems to be
the only thing I can see to avoid everything getting caught in midtone hell.
Thougths?

I've been trying to get this shot for years... who knew I had to only to
Yosemite! Thoughts...

Amazing colors, sky and composition. the size (posting size) of the photo makes some of the foreground details seems a bit over sharpened I would guess.. this would be amazing blown up large scale.
I have to put this on my list of amazing places to photograph/visit!

Thoughts and Critiques ?

Just started on this myself over the last few months (My last batch are 9 bracket-1/3 stop)... my only thought with this is to warm up the water and horizon a little but I do like the effect. Also I shot some of this the last weekend as well and I went for a longer exposure (brought my ISO to 100 and F to 26 or so to get it) - this gives the water a silkier look - if that's what appeals to you...

HDR stream. Thoughts

interested to see what this might look like in color... I think the background structure would be interesting to see.

Red Truck, Redux

Initially I did this when first learning photoshop by bending curves (when I used to play with those :->). Since I have really learned to live within lightroom I basically used photomatix to create the HDR (note a little haloing in the trees I need to clean up in a future version), then used lightroom to desaturate (HSL color-select/drag-down) and then just finished with some basic sharpening/clarity adjustments. I played with the hue/Noise reduction as well to try to remove any grunge/residue. Hope that helps :->
