Todd, the first one was great, why mess with perfection. The second and last one also are great, but I would stick with the first one! I think they match the image you are "shooting" for, artsy and upscale!
I particularly liked the frog one...lol

Thanks all for your help!

I am looking for labs you like or don't like for doing senior wallet pictures
with the gold corner with name and year.
Thanks

have you been getting your posters printed. I used snapfish in the past, but
that was for 1 offs no quantities. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I would like to here about good experiences and bad experiences.
Thanks

Can't we all get along, just consider the source of the rating and move on, it is not like you win a million dollars for the top photo of the day....year or whatever. Aren't we all here to learn something? I try to look at everyones portfolio who rates or comments on one of my photos, the better their photos the more I listen.
I think comments are worth way more than numbers, all I see the numbers do for me is bring more people to my photo who might comment.
It is nice if people leave comments if they are going to leave a below average number so you know what people don't like about it but not required. I welcome that feedback, I have learned a ton from people on here from constructive critism and people leaving reworks of my photos with instructions.
As stated earlier by others, I also look at the number of ratings as that also is a good indicator if you hit the mark with a photo or not. IF someone takes the time to comment you must have sparked something, good or bad.
Bottom line, everyone has different taste, everyone uses the scale differently, I think most tend to rate generously as they don't want to cause waves. (myself included)
Have fun, stop arguing, taking pictures is way more fun!

I use pretty close to the same naming conventions as you, and just add in a cutstomer or job name. I use PSP X and it has a renaming funtion in it that does it all automatically, you just tell it what you want and what images you want to rename.
<shot-date>-<DCF name>-<timestamp>-(customer name or job name).<extension>
Good Luck:)

Or have the possibility to search members based on location, just a thought. I know I am always looking to talk with other people who enjoy photography as much as I do. It is always fun to talk with the people in the local camera store. I thought at one time you could search by location, maybe I am thinking of another site.

I love the new format! Great work PN!

Thanks for adding the ecard, the only suggestion I have is to have a button so those who don't want someone to use it as an ecard have the option to turn it off for one or all of their photos. I personal like the option to send it to friends and family:) Thanks for adding ecards!

Everyone sees art differently and everyone sees photography differently, we need to appreciate both. We each have our own taste and we should appreciate that. For me, the bottom line is if I think it makes it look better, I will do it. I do not hide the fact that I enhance my pictures in many cases, I agree with your point if someone tries to say they did not alter it and they did. I thought that is the whole reason the unmanipulated check box is on the submit page.
Best Wishes

There are so many awesome people on here, a shame a few bad one's poke their head in. From what I have seen they are removed. I guess it is like the rest of the world, I think PN has a better percentage of good though!)

You also had some pictures that made the top photo of the day, and when that happens your views sky rocket in a hurry. I had a couple images a while back that made it and my view went from a couple thousand to 30 and 40 thousand on those images. Congratulations on your top photos, I saw you had 2 on the same day a couple of days ago. It is tough enough to get one on a day, let alone 2 in the same day. Your pictures keep me coming back for more:) Keep up the great work. I have seen a vast improvement in your work in the short time I have been on PN, and it was pretty good to begin with!

I bought a small steamer I use, it was about $30. It works great!

You can count on me, I think it is an awesome idea!

I like the one Emily did and I also like the last one you did. Your bundle of Joy shot would be nice if you replaced the text.

Jayme Hall, Emily Koch, Elaine Vang and Mindy Cocolan are all my favorites.

Thanks, all went well, the customer was very happy. I charged $5 an image... For anyone interested, some of the images are posted on my site, tell me what you think. I already know a few things I would do differently as far as lighting. Thanks everyone for your feedback...

Thanks everyone for the great input. I am not sure if they are coming to me or if I am going to them yet. I think I will probably offer a hourly rate and a per item/photo base on different set volumes. I am thinking of about $20-$25 for an hourly rate. Does this sound fair???
Thanks
