I use a 312 zinc air hearing aid battery with a neopreme ring around it (to fit the battery compartment). Has proper voltage and discharge curve. Doesn't last long but they are cheap.
There is a simplicity about using these cameras that is refreshing.

David, I have one. Please send a note to t296@comcast.net or request my other email address from photo.net. (t296 is a throwaway address, I use it then when the spam gets too bad, I terminate it.)
I requested your email via photo.net, but for some reason it hasn't been emailed yet (though it said it would).

These are certainly fun cameras and useful with sheet film. I have 1.5 of the them (the .5 is a parts camera). Sheet film is still available, though I would stock up.
A year ago or so I found a stainless steel "rack" that fits in a standard 120 stainless steel tank. Holds 8 sheets, though I've never processed more than 4 at a time.

I'm not a wedding photographer, so my perspective might be different.
Granted, dealing with someone who says she is a "lawyer wannabe" is a concern, unless the comment was made in jest. And I agree that liability beyond the price paid is unreasonable.
But on the replacement photographer issue, I read it as this: if you, who she has contracted with, choose a replacement that the replacement will be equally qualified (for example, not me) and that she will not be faced with charges that she had no advance knowledge or any control.
This is not to say that you should bear the possible cost of a replacement if your rates are under market. If prevailing rates (now I sound like a lawyer) are higher than yours, those prevailing rates should be the benchmark.

I have in my notes the following development specs for Copex, but I have not tried this.
POTA Devl for Copex, Tech Pan
An alternative to Kodak Technidol developer for Kodak Technical Pan film. This formula is useful for other emulsions where very low
contrast is desired. Agitation with Tech Pan is two slow inversions of the tank each minute. Develop between 12.5 and 15 minutes. at 68 F)
750 mL Water at125F
30g Sodium Sulfite
1.5g Phenidone
Water to make 1 Liter
Use immediately after mixing as it deteriorates very quickly after it has been mixed.
Canon QL17 - self timer stuck
in Classic Manual Film Cameras
Posted
One of my Canon QL17s has a self timer that is stuck. I can't get
it to release with pressing the shutter button. At first it would
trip partially, but now not at all.
Any ideas? I'd like to avoid sending it out for service.
