Very dynamic. Fine capture of all that water movement.

While leading a workshop in Paris, I witnessed one of the participants
shooting a particularly photogenic door when when to her surprise a priest
in his collar emerged. Similarly, later in the day, I had set up a
composition in a colourful and lively neighborhood including a door and
part of a fruit shop when just as unexpectedly a distinguished looking
gentleman exited. I managed to catch a frame through the steady stream
of pedestrians.

One of the great simple pleasures in Paris - a stroll in Tuileries, enhanced

A mask at Accademia during the 2012 Carnevale. You see very few
images from this location of masks since it means sacrificing a sunrise at
San Marco.
If you would like to join me on a workshop during next year's Canevale in
Venice, please check my website or contact me.

So elegant!

Nice use of light. Something about the tilted pose looks a little awkward but overall I like this very much. Wonderful toning.

I'm I going crazy or does nobody else notice something askew with this photo? It looks like the blurring has been applied post-capture with some funny haloing around the subject. The light is quite nice but the pose of the deer itself isn't the most elegant. I thought the purpose of this forum was constructive criticism. I would be interested in seeing a less processed version of this.

One of my favourites from my 2012 Carnevale portolio, this conveys the
serenity of the quiet canals away from the madness of San Marco.

Hi Katie,
I don't think you should be so dismissive of MH's critique. Just because someone you respect tells you it's good doesn't make it so. There's an awful lot of people giving thumbs up comments because it takes balls to tell someone that their photo sucks and secondly it takes much more effort to make it constructive.
I had similar thoughts about this photo to MH? Too much random activity and seems to be a snapshot rather than any real message or interesting observation made. Also any photo with backpacks and bum bags basically ruins it.
