We have a Red Tail Hawk nest on our property. This year they hatched

This agave plant took 15 years to bloom. The stalk is about15 feet tall.

Terrific shot Greg. These mountains are very difficult to capture. The stark details of the mountains are usually washed out. The foreground is a little dark on my monitor but the desert bushes and the wash lead your eye into the shot. Well done.

It is definitely a male. Females never have the bright feathers under their chin no matter what type of hummer. The males are the pretty ones. This is typical of bird species. We have at least thirty or fourty hummers at our feeders at one time. You have a lot of patience to capture them in interesting poses. Regards: Jeri
