  1. as your blurred shot taken in the Centre Pompidou that I recently commented, this also is pretty unusual for you. Probably I'm a bit influenced by Todd Hido's latest works (I have just purchased a small print of one of his landscapes shot through the windshield), anyway I like it so much!! Perfect exposure and tones, fine details of drops on the windshield and beautiful light. The only detail that I would critique is composition: in my personal opinion, I would keep the sun rather than the building in the middle. Here I attach a proposal for a crop (just a proposal...). Anyway, GREAT result! Thank-you for sharing and... post more "experiments" like this

I have discovered and appreciated your various portfolio, somehow inhomogeneous but showing creativity and strong character.

I appreciate most of all your minimalist seascapes, the "beach" and "zen" series and all those marked with just a number. This one is probably not one of your best, but it is the one that led me to your photos. Most of the people of this community often underrate this kind of shots, and when I find someone that appreciate the genre, I feel as being part of the same minority. Thank-you for sharing, Marco

Thank-you very much for your appreciation.

Wolfgang: when I edited this photo, I just leveled the horizon and cropped it a bit. I didn't find the stars so disturbing, so I chose to leave them, maybe a little reminder that it is still a photograph and not a painting... :-)

John: you are right, I named this photo just after seing the resemblance to some of his works, "high tide wane moon" is a little masterpiece and I tried to give him my little tribute.

  2. Thank-you Mario and Juan Carlos for your comments.

Juan Carlos, I know that you appreciate like me the way Gehry "bends" our reality: I was almost surprised to see a straight shadow on one of his buildings...

of all your "atmospheres" the ones that I find more original and emotional are your vertical crops and especially your seascapes. You master your panning technique and your photos are so beautiful in their minimalism, very difficult to categorize: almost paintings but still clearly photographs, not landscapes nor abstracts... Congratulations!
  3. This is not your usual style and so it catched my eye when I was scrolling down your pictures. Blurred or out of focus images are more emotional and more difficult to understand, in my opinion. Anyway, in this case the result is great. I love it!

I think that both the original perspective and the crop give to the image really some "alien" feeling, which is even more strengthened by the contrast between the cold blue dominant and that great warm light inside the church. Great composition!
