Thank-you Markku for your analysis. That light was so appealing to me that I had to look for a camera in order to take the picture (I didn't have one with me). The composition has not benn easy: I couldn't include anything else in the scene because I wanted to avoid any confunding objects. I tried to crop it but I decided to keep the original version to better appreciate the huge size of the fish. It was shot at the end of a charity event and that huge fish looked really nonsense.

Thank-you Markku for you comments. I didn't give up PN, I just have slowed my pace in taking photos and especially in posting them on the web.
This shot was driven by a strong spiritual setting (it is a church, a very original one indeed), but even if my aim was to catch the spirit of the place, I could not help but see the scene also in a graphic way and go for the alignment. Thank-you for noting it, I know how much you appreciate such details.

one of my favorites in your new square age... great mood and perfect composition, I am just not sure about including or cropping out the street sign on the far right

As long as human presence remains a grain, it's redeeming: the alteration of perfection is hardly noticeable..

I really can't say why I like this photo so much, maybe because the contrast between the painterly look and the clean "architectural" composition give it a strange mood, a somehow unreal atmosphere. Beautiful light in the lower part. Excellent shot!
Thank-you also for you visit and comments. Saluti, Marco

This is the one I prefer. While more ground wouldn't add much more, the sky has a beautiful color gradient. Minimalist and clean, great shot!

Great shot!
Clean composition, strong subject (I love it empty as it is) and beautiful light.

You got the point: here the landscape is only a background for those stairs, an almost unreal sign of human presence in a primordial lava field.
I'm gad you didn't give up hope on me and I appreciate very much your "welcome back" after my absence!

this is one of my favourite modern churches among the many I found traveling around Iceland.
I considered a crop as you suggested, then I preferred to keep the shot a little more earthly than celestial.
Thank-you for you appreciation
