    Hopper

Perhaps you should have placed the hopper in a trash-laiden alley, put a cigarette in his mouth, rubbed dirt on his face, and used a slow shutter speed to blur his antenna gestures.... When one takes a photo of a grasshopper, one isn't expecting to light the world on fire with originality. I think this pic has attractive focus and light, and the grasshopper has nice details for us to look at. I like it!

I (like you, I assume) will continue to photograph dragonflies no matter how many show up on photo.net. However, I doubt any of mine will end up looking as good as this one :) You produced some rich, dark colors while maintaining the details of the Dragonfly. Very nice!

What kind of lighting did you use here? I'm assuming a handheld shot with a bit of flash, but maybe it's natural lighting eh?

Wilson, you always do a great job with your colors. I like the look you end up with, and I like the fact that you don't shy away from subtle Photoshop effects. Very pleasant!

I don't have the data in front of me, but it was either 50 or 100 (probably 50). The sharpening is probably straight from Picasa, which enhances noise a tad.
