cromwell1664877587 0 Posted September 25, 2005 Thanks for the laugh, John. A bad comment from a sub-par photographer is a small price to pay for such a hearty laugh. Link to comment
harnstrom1 0 Posted September 26, 2005 Very nice macro shot. Good light and perfect tonal range, crisp and smooth. Kind regards. Link to comment
j1000 0 Posted September 27, 2005 Perhaps you should have placed the hopper in a trash-laiden alley, put a cigarette in his mouth, rubbed dirt on his face, and used a slow shutter speed to blur his antenna gestures.... When one takes a photo of a grasshopper, one isn't expecting to light the world on fire with originality. I think this pic has attractive focus and light, and the grasshopper has nice details for us to look at. I like it! Link to comment
cromwell1664877587 0 Posted September 28, 2005 Thanks everybody for taking the time to comment. Jason, that would be pretty darn original, but I think I would have to do all of that using photoshop....maybe I will stick a cig in his mouth next time. I honestly did laugh out loud at John's remark as soon as I read it. I already knew his level of photography and the type of person he is from previous comments. That's why I found it so humorous. That comment not only insulted my whole portfolio, but the portfolio of many others here. All of that from a person that's been shooting for probably decades and still has yet to take anything worthwhile, at least from what I've seen....so you can't blame him too much for being bitter. He just should have looked for a different hobby years ago. Link to comment
