Sigma EX 70 - 200 F2.8 is an excellent lens, IMO just as good as the nikon but a lot cheaper! You can get a mint second-hand one for around $300.

Thanks for all your replies, i think i'll look for an F1n as i'm looking for a reliable camera that can take a few knocks (I tend to be quite tough on my equipment!) I very rarely use flash so i don't really need the TTL capabilites of the T90. I'll probably look for the 50mm F1.2 as well, it looks fantastic! Is there any difference between the "L" version and the standard one?

Hello! I would like to know which camera would be a better buy? I am
a nikon owner and already have several cameras, F3hp, F100 etc.. I
am not looking to replace my existing cameras but i have always been
interested in high-quality MF cameras. I am not familiar with canon
equipment so any advice would be appreciated, i'm looking for pros
and cons of T90 and F1n. Also are Canon FD lenses as good as my
nikkors? They are so cheap to buy second-hand...

I'd go for a second-hand FE2, it is a lot better than the FG and N2000 IMHO. You can pick them up for a good price now. Another to consider is the FM2n, I have one myself and would never sell it, it has been soaked in a rainstorm and dropped onto rocks and it just keeps on going! As for lenses i don't use telephotos but I have a sigma 105 macro lens and it produces very sharp images.

F3hp is excellent, in fact i use it more than my F100. It is the best manual SLR ever made and a pleasure to use.

Hi Charo, I've lived just outside Belfast for 25 years. There will be no problems taking pictures of the murals and the majority of people are friendly, however, take care when you are in certain areas ( same in most cities i suppose ). The Crown Bar in Great Victoria St is popular as is the Kitchen bar and Northern Whig. Don't forget Belfast's most popular landmark "Samsom and Goliath" ( Giant cranes that built Titanic ) Have a nice trip!

Hi Ken, I would choose the 28-105 and the 50mm. The zoom is a great lens and the 50 would be good for low light ( if you don't want flash ) Have a good vacation!

I'll probably go for the 85/2 as my local jessops ( I live in ireland ) has one in very good condition for ?130. Thanks a lot guys!

I have just purchased a mint Nikon F3HP with 35mm F2 nikkor lens and
i was thinking of getting a short telephoto lens to go with it, my
budget does not go very far at the moment (? 150). I was thinking of
either the 85mm F2 or the 105mm F2.5 AIS lenses, does anyone know
which is better? This will be my last purchase for a while! Thanks
Soon a Nikon challenger...
