Hi. What is software rendering, as in a choice in the setiings for PS Bridge?

-
I doubt if there is an advantage for you, Harry.
-
Focus magic and PhotoKit Sharpener.

Time off enhances time on...

Every photo site has a signature style. I particularly enjoy www.photosight.ru as a balance to photo.net. in terms of my taste.

I am very happy that I no longer need to lug a tripod around - a real liberation.
-
Somewhere between 30 and 50? It's show business - give them a lot but leave 'em wanting more. Construct a satisfying performance: Only show the best of your best even if it is only a very few.
-
Well, that's clear, thanks.
-
trying to reduce costs, I'm wondering about switching to printing at home in b&w only and have seen a b&w
laserjet printer for about 80 Euros. Will it make b&w prints the same, better, or worse, than an inkjet? Will it
work out cheaper compared to printing b&w with an inkjet ie are the cartridges cheaper?
-
Thanks to one and all, now it's clear.

Why do I always read one should turn off image stabilisation when using a tripod? I can understand the IS is
redundant, but what harm can it do?

''We have solved it, and filed for a patent on it.'' Great, that's exactly what I want. Please keep us/me updated?

Hi William. Why not look at some sample images from the E510 review on dpreview.com. I think you'll agree there's nothing wrong with the model.
-
I like it as it is too !

Hi Michael - 'open in camera' raw isn't there as an option by right clicking. That option is there under 'File' but is greyed out.
Next to that it says use ctrl+r, but that did nothing.
Hi Ellis - That does work, but thereafter all jpegs and tiffs launch in acr. But that was a great video. Towards the end it explains how to bypass raw, but that only works with raw files which have already been through ACR.
I think it must be something to do with my using ACR 4.5 - the latest beta version which now opens Olympus E520 ORFs.
Thanks anyway.
-
....open jpegs and tiffs on an individual basis, from Bridge, into ACR, rather than have things set so they all do?
-
Thanks, Martin. I'll try to squeeze another year out of this one - having just splashed out on a new camera.
-
Well, thanks guys for those answers, much appreciated. I'll go for 2GB.

I'm running CS3 on a Pentium 4, 2.66 with 1GB of memory. This is quite adequate but I am tempted by something a
bit faster such as a machine with a Dual Core processor. But, would say doubling the RAM to 2 GB make a
substantial speed increase? In fact, I see there are four memory slots - I suppose I could even boost it to 4 GB?

Hi Jack. How would you get this effect with painter?

Welcome and congrats on moving forward. Here's wishing great satisfaction through photography and travel.

Ryan's way is better, Ellie.
