The icon I planted on the tray is 32 bit and yes, I now see there is a separate 64 bit one in the start menu.
Why would I want access to both on a 64 bit machine? Thanks for all your repsonses.

If I open a pic via bridge to CS5 on this 64 bit computer, CS opens as 64 bit. If I open CS by itself with bridge closed, it, CS, opens as 32 bit. Is this meant to be?

Thnx, William. I think my wife bought the story - still a bit nervous.

Thanks, Frank. No, Dan, it has shuffled off its mortal coil.

It died with activated PS on it. Call,OK, thanks.

Hi
Is there a way, on a truly dead computer, to deactivate the copy of PS which was running on it?
Thanks

Thanks, Marios, and John.
In terms of selling, I wonder if single prints, as I say, at craft fairs, might be a better way to go than books?

-

Well, thanks, a lot of aspects to consider. The theme will be The Netherlands, James, landscapes and people.

Hi. If you were making a book of your photos to sell at, for example, craft fairs:
1. How many photos would you put in it?
2. How much would you charge with reference to 1?
3. What size book is popular?
I know it depends on other variables, but an indication however broad, would help.

Hi. I'm having a first attempt at making a book of photos and have got as far as having decided to make them 3000 pixels wide - 8 and half-ish inches. How can I tell how they're going to look without printing a sample?
Viewed in PS at full size, 3000 pixels, they don't look good- at 'fit on screen' or 'print size' they look great.
What's the best way to view them in PS to give the best indication of how they should look printed?

Thanks

Hi. If I only produce images for the web up to 1200 pixels wide, at what point in the scale from tiniest pointnshoot to top of the line professional model, does there cease to be an advantage?
I am restricting my question to image quality alone.
My opinion is, a basic so-called 'entry level' dslr can produce images which are just as good as top of the line cameras, or at least, the price/advantage ratio drops off dramatically above this 'entry level' point.
What do you think?

In the S90 I now have a camera which I can easily have with me all the time which produces images for the web equal to my DSLR.

Just like to confirm how good one of the free raw converters is on your list:

Oops - Figured it out.

Adobe Camera Raw in CS 3 to convert images to 16 bit?

-

Thanks for the responses. btw I'm talking about CS3 Bridge which doesn't show up in the add/remove dialogue. Simply put, the functionality of the free prog 'Faststone' does everything I want and is totally stable whereas Bridge is missing features and is crash prone - despite my puter being zippy.

Googling yielded no way to remove Bridge CS3, while keeping Photoshop. Can I simply delete it, in Programme Files? Is there, in fact, a way to remove it?

Thanks, Ray.

Thanks, Patrick.

Hi. I started with PS 6 and upgraded to CS2 and then upgraded to CS3. Can I delete PS 6? Can I deactivate CS2 and delete it?
