I'm getting an MP today as a second body to my M7. Does anyone have
any idea the difference between Tom's rapidwinder and leica's
leicavit ? Price is not an issue, I'm more interested in function
and durability/reliability--- thanks

Sorry, I gave you the wrong link. You need the product Pro Show Gold, it allows DVD burning

This is the software I suggest http://www.photodex.com/products/proshow/
You can download a trial version.

Thanks for the replies so far. Mr. Williams what do you do for developing and scanning ?

I sent the film to PC Colour lab in Downtown LA for development. I haven't found the time to get setup or learn processing. (Day job is Horse Veterinarian)

Last week I helped a friend shoot a wedding. I rated ilford delta
400 at 250 and used auto exposure mostly. I overexposed the the
dress in many shots. I chose to use auto exposure since I'm still
getting used to the framing and focusing of this camera (I mostly
shoot with DSLR). I guess next time an incident meter and some
bracketing. Any tips on exposure methods using Leica M's under
pressure at a wedding would be appreciated.

Mr. Fang,
I own a canon mark 2 and 6 lenses. It performs great but I sure love shooting my M7. I spent 25 days in Indonesia last November lugging that big DSLR and lenses around (laptop, cards batteries etc.). Only the leica will go on my next trip. The rangefinder gives balance to my photography (even though I'm not that good with it yet)--- I'm not sure that would be called "denial"--

If you browse through the images on National geographic's archive
page, clicking on the images listed on the lefthand side of the
screen brings up the photog's settings (camera; film; exposure).
Many of the images were shot with m6's and m7's. Most shots are
chrome. Leicas must be rugged !! Link:

Greetings,
If I want to start playing with infrared film with my M7, what would
be a good choice of film to start with ? If anyone knows an online
source of information on technique that would be applicable to this
camera that would be helpfull---
Thanks
