Hi Rajat,

No the building does not tilt in this case although there are many nearby that do. It is the distortion of the WA lens (12mm), I could do with some tuition in perspective correction in PS although in this instance I dont mind the tilt so much.

Thanks for stopping by. The whole windmill here dates back to the late 1700s. It has of course been restored which gives the impression that perhaps the upper section is modern. The fan or 'sails' are in fact all there but the angle of the shot makes it appear as if three are missing.Its a pity I could not have shot this from a different position but sadly the gate to the grounds was locked.If you look at my village pond shot you can see this windmill from the front on the right of the shot.

Hi Rajat, many thanks for your comment. There are a few steam trains still running in Britain, many are run and managed by enthusiasts on private lines. This one in particular is part of the day to day service on the line between Fort William and Mallaig in Scotland. It only does the one journey to and from Fort William each day dropping passengers off in the morning and returning them in the afternoon. Its very popular and each time I have been there all tickets were sold out. On this shot I got the effect of shallow DOF using lens blur in PS to achieve that 'model' appearance. Like you say though, the smoke gives the game away.

Your critiques are truly encouraging.Nabarun, the Tec' details are : Iso 400 , 400th sec @ f5.6. 80-400 VR zoom @ 370mm hand held. Post processing consists of slight crop. Unsharp mask, very slight contrast boost and very slight saturation boost of red then very slight master sat boost. All done in PS cs3.Michael many thanks for your comments. I absolutely agree I could have easily achieved more highlight in the eyes and possibly more colour in the retina. If only I had of thought a little longer and not been so impatient to upload this one. This is the beauty of this forum as a learning tool, michael next time your words will be ringing in my ears.
