Does this image have enough contrast? I added contrast to the mountain
and distant trees. These were suggestions from previous critiques. Thanks.

Karen, This is an awesome photo but what would put it over the top would be to simplify it a bit more. I would try to get on the other side of that foreground log. Less in this case is better. Whether you can wade out there, I don't know, but it would definitely be worth it. I have sometimes returned to a shot I had previously taken several times to shoot it again. Great Job! Dean

Harry, I like the darker one better. It has more of a 3-d feel to it, especially in the leaves at the top of the tree. Great idea using the tree to fill an otherwise bland sky. Bottom of the tree is a little messy but doesn't take away from the overall look of the photo. Great Job! Dean

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated. Floris, I actually did darken the sky to bring out more texture in the clouds. Maybe could use some more. Harry, never thought about turning this into a pan. Thanks for the idea.

Kurt: I love the color and action of the clouds, but would just like the rest in focus. Thats just me. What a shot otherwise! Dean

Zak and Michael:
Zak, I never thought about darkening the clouds and maybe I'll try it. I have sold alot of these as a print and its done very well. The Tetons are so overshot so I try to come up with something original.
Michael, I'm not sure why, but I didn't think about shooting this in the morning. Sometimes when I go to a place like the Tetons I end up running around to much. I ended up at Shwabachers Landing in the morning and got a great shot of the Grand.
Its on my website. I have slowed down with the 4x5 or 5x4, my feet just can't handle the weight anymore. Half of what I posted here is digital and half 4x5.
Have a great one guys!

Hi Dennis:
Beautiful shot! I really like the placement of the elements in the photo. Would it be possible to bring out more color in the Rodi blossoms? Keep em coming!
Best Regards, Dean

Stan,
I would agree with Ryan on his points. Another suggestion is to turn it into a pan by cropping the top half off forcing you to focus more on the water and the people in the pic. I would also have the couple interacting romatically. Possibly proposing, hugging or kissing. Just my take on it. Keep em coming. Great job!
Best Regards,
Dean

Good color (wow), good exposure, what a lovely place. You captured it well. What would make it even better is if you moved over further to the left to take in more of the rocks, or crop the negative space off the right side. A vertical might even do. Wish I were closer to an ocean. Great Work.
Best Regards,
Dean

One of the most popular climbing areas in the Northwest is City of
Rocks. It is a very unique geologic area as you can see. Thank you for
your comments.

Incredible Photo!!! 6/6. How do you like the Hoya Pro polarizer? Do you think its worth the money?

I really like the pan format and usually crop my 4x5s to make the pan. I agree with it being to dark on the right side. Why not crop it? Awesome photo otherwise. Thanks for sharing!

5 Images stitched together. It was an awesome night for clouds. Thanks
for viewing. Appreciate any comment.

Way to go Aleix! I was starting to get tired of looking at pictures of the wave but this is refreshing. I really like the transition of color at the bottom of the photo to the white-gray clouds in the sky. The sky above the hump in the middle of the picture is a bit overexposed. Thats the only thing you could improve on. Thanks for sharing your photo with us.

I thought I better post this image before winter is over. I took
several shots of my bathroom window and this one turned out best. A
one of a kind shot. Thanks for taking a look.

Great shot Paul! I love the movement of the water and the reflection off the rocks. Just my opinion but I would have tried to move the sun slightly off to one side of the photo and add more drama by adding a star effect to the sun. Keep up the great work!

For the anonymous voters who want to score me low, at least have the
common courtesy to tell me how I can improve on the photo. That's one
the reasons I am giving this a try. Thanks

Image taken at Old Faithful Geyser Basin. Your comments are much
appreciated.

The rocks below the surface and the reflection, great job! I remember seeing a photo like this from William Niel, but I like yours better.
