2.
If you want an actual camera, take a look at the Canon Refurb site. They currently have the PowerShot S110, one of Canon's high-end compacts, for $129.00. It cost about $429 new a couple of years ago. It has a larger 1/1.7 sensor, the same as in the PowerShot G-series cameras, and it performs very nicely in low light. The refurbs also come with a 1-year limited warranty. I've bought a couple of refurbs from them and each was in like-new condition and came with everything that was in the box when the cameras were new. It has wi-fi as well. It's really a very nice camera and at that price, it's a steal!

 3.
One of six goslings that have arrived at our pond along with their vigilant parents. We're pretty sure it's the same two adults that have been coming for the last 4 or 5 years, as each year they seem more accustomed to us.

 4.
Nice shots as usual, everyone! Anthea, that "Brett's Wharf" shot is really cool! It's perfectly executed in b&w.
Here are just a couple of tulip shots from playing around this weekend...

 5.
Thanks everyone for the help! Mike, Jim, thank you for those links. I found those to be interesting and helpful reading. Jeff, I found the Soligor 35-70/2.5-3.5 along with a Series 1 70-210/3.5 for cheap, although both are in excellent condition from a seller with an excellent record. Thank you for all of your information and tips; I was hoping you'd see this thread and offer your wisdom, and I'm most grateful that you did! Marc, that test of the 28-135 is also very interesting to read and gave good info.

 6.
I recently picked up a pristine T3n with the Hexanon 50/1.7 and a couple of other lenses for the bargain price of $39.99. The camera is in beautiful condition and the lenses are very nice too. I would like a nice walk-around zoom lens for the camera though, but I don't know which Hexanons are good zooms and which are not. I've been watching a couple of Hexanon 28-135/4 zooms on eBay, but I don't know what their reputation for performance is. Any suggestions or lenses to avoid? I'd appreciate any thoughts.

 7.
I've been shooting with my Konica T3n lately, and it allows you to make several exposures on one frame by activating the dedicated "ME" lever.

 8.
I've owned the Elan II, 7, 7N, A2, 1n, and 1V. For me the 1V is easily my 1st choice of any AF camera from any brand. In a word, it's perfect! Mine was often configured as the HS, but changing that to just the 1V is just a matter of taking the booster/motor drive off. The 1V is one of my all-time favorite cameras, film or digital, and it's simply a joy to use. I really like the A2 as well, especially since it was my first AF slr and my first EOS. I bought mine new when they first came out and I still think that camera was ahead of its time. It's still a very nice camera today, 20+ years later. The Elans were all nice, very capable cameras, but they always felt a bit crippled to me, particularly in having only a 1/4000s top speed and larger area partial meter instead of the much smaller area spot of the 1V. They are whisper quiet but I love the ruggedness of the 1V in stark comparison.

 9.
I might be getting rules from another forum confused with this forum...

 10.
Okay, just one more...I know we're only supposed to post three shots, but I like this one too. It's a shot of the light green that we start to see this time of year as everything is just beginning to turn green in the woods. It's the most wonderful reminder that the cold of winter is gone!

 11.
Abib, that's beautiful!

 12.
Alex S.--That's a really cool series of train shots with great mood and atmosphere. I especially like the first picture of the train entering the frame with its blazing lights. Nicely done! That lens could be a lot of fun.

 13.
Here is the business end of a mile-long train, a beautiful CW44AC locomotive, the lead locomotive in a consist of three locomotives.

 14.
Like just about everyone else, my smartphone (iPhone) goes everywhere I do, but I haven't used the camera as much lately since picking up a Canon G7X which, with its 1" sensor, delivers some pretty impressive shots. I still carry a film camera though, and the one I've been using lately is a Kiev 4A with a 53mm Jupiter 8 mounted on it. It's a nice looking camera and I find that I enjoy looking at it almost as much as using it. My most reliable carry-around camera is my Nikon FE, and after I put a few more miles on the Kiev, it'll take back its rightful place in my camera bag.

 15.
Very nice, Louis! It was just as pretty from here next door to you, but I wasn't able to get out in time to grab a shot. That's a beautiful capture!

 16.
Spring thaw! At least I hope it is; it was 72 degrees today here in Indiana, but it'll drop into the 20s tomorrow night. At least the warmth is starting to make an appearance in this area, so beautiful Spring days are on the way!

 17.
Beautiful pics as always, Tony. The camera is a looker, and also one of my favorite cameras of any type. Thanks for sharing!

 18.
Thanks, Mukul. Very nice, balanced lighting in your shot.
