Grain is not necessarily bad. If the grain in the sky were a bit smoother, not so blotchy, I think it would add to the picture.

The lighting of the scene does not lend it self to the drama that the scene could be. Perhaps some manipulation in photoshop...

I'll echo what Jim said. Very nice photo. One comment...I do like it better with the lowest portion deleted. Eliminating the two rocks in the bottom center and having the line of rocks running off the lower right corner, but one's eye stopped by the foam just above. -

Good DOF. A couple of thoughts if you don't mind...
I not sure I like the main subject a way past
it's prime flower.
And I always feel that it is so darn difficult to
get backgrounds that really works with the
out of focus situation.
I keep trying but am net yet satisfied with my
backgrounds other than very dark (like black)
Any thoughts?
