emotive 0 Posted August 31, 2005 Wow. Great shot. Well composed and, as you say, it "speaks" of the coming snowfall. Well done. Link to comment
ghuczek 0 Posted August 31, 2005 The colouration isn't convincing enough for me. I like the rendition of the ground, but it doesn't seem to go well with the sky. The framing, with both vertical tree trunks on or nearly on the image borders, makes it difficult for me to look at the farm implement, which is competing for attention. Also, the fence seems to merge right into the farm implement. Selecting a slightly higher (or lower) camera angle would avoid the conflicting overlap of these two things. Link to comment
irv 0 Posted August 31, 2005 The lighting of the scene does not lend it self to the drama that the scene could be. Perhaps some manipulation in photoshop... Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted August 31, 2005 Thanks to all for taking your time to view and especially commenting. I must agree about the trees, but there were some physical limitations restricting just where one can shoot from as I'm no longer spry anymore, you know how it is , if you don't, then you will.....Jim Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted September 2, 2005 Jim, I think that it is a sensitive way of seeing that place. The composition is ballanced even the previous comment about the trees very close to the frame is right. I think the sky and earth has a color unity, and the fence is not a distraction for me. Aside from the trees placement in the frame, I like t. Pnina Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted September 2, 2005 Very glad you stopped here as well,Pnina. Really I was trying out this lens as it was new(28-105) lens. While shooting, was wishing I had brought the 75-205, couldn't zoom back, somthing distracting was just below the frame....Thanks again....Jim Link to comment
